Associate Professor Oana Branzei spoke with Maclean’s about income inequality and her worry that slower economic growth will mean less money for groups that aim to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
Canada’s poverty rates look good in comparison to others, leading many to believe income inequality is not an urgent issue. In Branzei’s words, “We don’t have the fire under our asses like other countries.”
