A key component of Ivey’s MSc programs is the opportunity to apply classroom learnings to practical, real-world situations. The Ivey Digital Innovation Studio (IDIS) does exactly this.

The IDIS has MSc Digital Management student teams work through three successive four-week digital innovation design sprints. Each sprint involves a different partner organization. Each sprint is fast-paced, leverages design thinking, and emphasizes the art of the possible. At the end of each sprint, teams will present recommendations for the creative use of emerging technologies to enhance the client’s business.

This year’s IDIS kicked off with a bootcamp, which has the students participate in skill refresher workshops in self-managed team dynamics, design thinking for deep customer empathy, and a Tech Session to practice applying emerging digital technologies to a construction industry value chain.

Thank you to Warren Ritchie, IDIS Faculty Director, Peter Goedegebuure of AutoIdea.AI (London, Ontario), and Sidsel Katrine Ernstsen and Jens Priergaard Nielsen from NIRAS (Copenhagen, Denmark) for delivering engaging sessions during this year’s bootcamp.

And thank you to the clients participating in this year’s IDIS: Aviva Insurance, Birchwood Automotive, CIBC, CityMedia, Delhi Chamber of Commerce, Parts Canada, and Roche.

Below are some images from the bootcamp.
