The EMBA Class of 2024.

The 55 professionals who began the Executive MBA (EMBA) program this week are joining Ivey at an exciting time as the School’s upcoming centennial activities showcase its legacy of real-world leadership and vision for the future.

In addition to learning from each other, the EMBA participants will gain insights on the critical issues facing business and society, such as the evolution of work, Canada’s place in the world, and sustainability. As part of the School’s strategic plan, Ivey Next, discussion of those critical issues will be embedded in the program curricula to prepare the participants for some of the challenges they might face in their organizations.

At a welcome event on February 5 to kick off the group’s residence week at Ivey's Spencer Leadership Centre, the participants had a chance to meet their classmates and learn more about the program. They’ll continue to get to know each other throughout the week through a variety of team-building activities.

“I’m delighted to welcome our newest group of participants to our Executive MBA program. I know that they’ll find this real-world, integrated, problem-solving focused program an amazing journey – challenging, rewarding, and yes, life-changing,” said Mary Gillett, HBA ’82, MBA ’02, Faculty Director of the EMBA. “I’m looking forward to getting to know each of them over the next 17 months.”

Ivey’s new EMBA participants come from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s a look at the EMBA Class of 2024 by the numbers.
