Strategy is about how organizations grow, survive, and compete by deploying specific resources and competences at the right time and in the right place to achieve an overarching aim. Strategy is also concerned with how industries emerge, mature, disappear or get reshaped by firms’ actions. It is an interdisciplinary field that draws on theory and methodology from a wide variety of sources including psychology, sociology, economics, and political science.
