Ivey has renewed its commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and will be focusing on substantial improvements in this area. There are many student organizations working to build a more inclusive community. Here’s a glance at how MyHBA is supporting the mental, physical, and spiritual wellness of HBA students throughout the program.

What is MyHBA?

MyHBA is a student-led, peer support network for HBA students throughout their years at Ivey, with a specific focus on mental health. MyHBA is committed to starting the conversation about mental health, providing students with the support they need, and strengthening student resiliency. MyHBA offers in-person peer-to-peer support sessions, workshops, year-round wellness events and connects students to resources.

Events for students

MyHBA organizes a variety of events and initiatives, including:

  • Wellness Weeks;
  • A Break The Silence Conference;
  • Peer-to-peer supporters;
  • HBA 2/3 events;
  • Random Acts of Kindness activities; and,
  • A resource pamphlet in welcome boxes as well as on the website.

Your time at Ivey will likely involve a whirlwind of emotions and experiences. We want to be here to support you through all of those ups and downs, and know that no need is too big or too small. Our Peer-to-Peer Supporters are always available to provide a listening ear and share experiences if you just want to chat. Our conference and event co-ordinators are busy planning events aimed at lifting spirits and building resilience. And our entire team is committed to connecting students to the resources they need. If you ever feel like you are in need of additional support, want to talk about something that’s on your mind, or simply want to score some free wellness goodies, don’t be afraid to reach out. We’re here for you.”
