Sixty-five accomplished professionals have just begun their Executive MBA (EMBA) journey at Ivey, bringing together diverse experiences and perspectives as they form new connections and prepare to learn from one another.
During their residence week last week, the participants had the opportunity to get to know their classmates and learning teams while beginning to build the relationships that will support them throughout the program.
Acting Dean Nicole Haggerty, HBA '89, PhD '04, welcomed the new cohort and emphasized the importance of the connections they will build throughout the program.
“The cohort is one of the program’s greatest assets,” said Haggerty. “Be sure to show up fully for discussions, group work, and relationships. Be there for each other. Learn from each other.”
EMBA Faculty Director Fernando Olivera said the energy in the room was a reminder of what makes the program special.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome our incoming EMBA cohort to Ivey. During our kickoff, they had the chance to get to know one another and their learning teams and you could feel the positive energy radiating throughout the room,” said Olivera. “It was a great reminder of what makes this program so special: bright, driven people ready to learn from and lean on one another.”
As the cohort begins its EMBA journey, Olivera said he is looking forward to seeing what the group will accomplish together.
“They are off to a tremendous start, and I can't wait to see all that they will accomplish together over the journey ahead,” he said.
