This course equips students with the skills to approach business decisions logically, quantitatively, and systematically. Rather than simply working through traditional exercises, students will engage with real-world case scenarios. These cases challenge students to identify and apply the most appropriate analytical techniques within unstructured environments, organize relevant data, develop effective models, and interpret their outputs. The focus is on using data-driven insights and mathematical modeling to support and enhance managerial decision-making either by improving their own decisions or by better responding to the actions of others.
Students will be able to:
- Process and visualize data to extract meaningful insights.
- Develop and apply mathematical models to real business problems.
- Evaluate outcomes and assess decision uncertainty to make informed choices.
- Interpret analytical results and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Generate business insights that help managers create value through data analysis.
