The 146 students who make up the MSc in Management Class of 2023 were introduced to the Ivey experience at a welcome event today.

Students from two separate MSc streams: Business Analytics and Digital Management, were welcomed by Lyn Purdy, Associate Dean, Programs; Greg Zaric, MSc Program Faculty Director; the MSc Program Office; Career Management; and the MSc Association. They were also provided information on a variety of services and opportunities available to them at Ivey.

Purdy highlighted what makes the program unique and how it will prepare the students for the future of business.

“It [the MSc] was created to address the need for a new breed of manager – one who not only understands best practice, but can assess how innovation and changing best practice affect analytics and digital management,” she said. “You will develop the skills and capabilities needed to take today’s growing wealth of real-world data and translate it into actionable insights for business decision-making.”

Purdy encouraged the students to make the most of their MSc experience, including connecting with their classmates and the Ivey Alumni Network and participating in activities. In particular, Ivey will mark its 100th anniversary in 2023 with exciting centennial activities to celebrate its past and look to its future.

Ivey’s new MSc students come from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s a look at the MSc Class of 2023 by the numbers.
