Capacity Building for Business Education

Ivey and African Business students build business knowledge through case analysis and discussion.

In 1989, the renowned researcher Harold Leavitt claimed that business schools were failing because we create "critters with lopsided brains, icy hearts, and shrunken souls".  This is certainly a risk when business education fails to account for the whole person in its educational mission.

This program is just one of the many ways in which Ivey provides unique experiences and meaningful learning opportunities which develop Ivey student’s capabilities and character at the same time creating interconnected opportunities for Africa students to learn about their own capabilities and character with us.

The videos below give some insight into what we accomplish together.
