Who is eligible and who should apply to the WAM program?

  • Undergraduate students who self-identify as women and are interested in learning more about investments and asset management that will have completed their second year of undergraduate studies by May 2026 from Western University or any other Canadian university;
  • You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (international students are not eligible) 
  • You can be in any faculty;
  • You should have a natural curiosity for financial markets and investing;
  • You should have a strong track record of academic success while balancing extracurricular activities; and,
  • Investment knowledge and strong research, reporting, and technical skills are beneficial but not required.

The 2026 Women in Asset Management (WAM) Application Portal will go live on this website September 15th 2025. There are two application submission periods.

Submission period 1: September 15th 2025-October 31st 2025
Submission period 2: November 1st 2025- January 9th 2026

If all components of your application are received by the Submission period 1 deadline of October 31, 2025, you will receive a response by mid-November. If your application is complete by January 5, 2026, you can expect to hear back by late-January. In order for your application to be considered complete, your reference letters must be received by the program office by the deadline.
