Ivey Energy Policy and Management Centre


The Ivey Energy Consortium was established in 2014 with six leading organizations in the energy sector – ATCO Ltd, OMERS, Power Workers’ Union, Suncor Energy Foundation, TransCanada Corporation (now TC Energy), and Union Gas Limited – with the purpose of supporting the research, educational and outreach activities of the Ivey Energy Policy and Management Centre at the Ivey Business School. The Centre is also supported by the Suncor Energy Foundation through its gift for the Suncor Chair in Energy Policy, held by Professor Guy Holburn. Bruce Power joined the Ivey Energy Consortium in 2018. The following organizations comprise the current Ivey Energy Consortium:

In 2018, the E.J. Kernaghan Chair in Energy Policy and related E.J. Kernaghan Energy Policy Research Fund were established as the result of a generous gift from Ted Kernaghan, HBA '65. The E.J. Kernaghan Chair in Energy Policy is held by Professor Adam Fremeth. Read more here.
