Bill Gallagher, lawyer and renowned expert on corporation relations with First Nations, addressed Ivey HBA students in Professor Adam Fremeth's Managing Energy and the Natural Environment class. The class heard Mr. Gallagher discuss his experience with how firms succeed and fail in the turbulent area of resource development in Canada. The discussion focused on the rise of native empowerment and the long string of legal victories for First Nations groups as the counter efforts to develop Canada’s energy sector.
