The electricity sector is essential to driving Ontario's future economic growth, while reducing Canada's greenhouse gas emissions. Yet, it is smart policy and regulation that will be critical in determining whether Ontario can successfully and efficiently achieve the twin goals of electrification and decarbonization.

The Ivey Business School's Energy Policy and Management Centre and Stikeman Elliott are teaming up to host a quarterly breakfast series on important policy and regulatory issues in Ontario's electricity sector.

Come engage with academics, industry practitioners and participants and government in a high-level exchange of ideas related to Ontario's electricity market design and performance, electricity pricing, decarbonization and electrification. Sessions will focus on important topics and will aim to facilitate peer-level discussion beyond those that occur within typical stakeholder engagement processes. Help shape the policy and regulation that will drive Ontario's power sector and the province's future economic prospects.

Our inaugural seminar on Market Renewal in Ontario’s Evolving Policy  Environment will feature the following speakers:

Moderator:

  • Glenn Zacher (Stikeman Elliott LLP)
