Dennis McConaghy recognized as finalist for Donner Prize

In a story originally published by The Globe and Mail on April 15, it was announced that Dennis McConaghy has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Donner Prize, which recognizes the best public policy book by a Canadian. The $50,000 award was founded in 1998.

McConaghy's selected book is titled, Breakdown: The Pipeline Debate and the Threat to Canada's Future (Dundurn, 2019). The 2019/2020 Donner Prize finalists were chosen from a field of 74 submissions. The winner will be announced in Fall 2020.

McConaghy is the former Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development at TransCanada. Previously, he was Executive Vice-President, Pipeline Strategy and Development. He joined TransCanada in 1998, and has held senior positions in Corporate Strategy & Development, Midstream/Divestments, and Business Development. He has more than 25 years' experience in the oil and gas sector.
