Call for Applications: Open Positions on Ivey Alumni Network Board of Directors, Alumni Chapter Vacancies, and Alumni Volunteer Recruitment
Who we are:
The Ivey Alumni Network (IAN) Board of Directors is a working Board that plays a key role in the implementation and execution of Ivey’s Alumni Relations strategy, which is to serve, promote and facilitate meaningful and relevant connection, content, and support for degree program alumni, both with the Ivey Business School and its associated faculties, programs and Centres, and amongst alumni themselves around the world. In addition to providing governance and strategic oversight, Board members are expected to directly contribute to alumni programs, initiatives, and engagement efforts.
Mission Statement:
To advance Ivey’s Alumni Relations strategy through active participation in programming, fostering meaningful alumni engagement, professional development, and lifelong learning opportunities, while maintaining a strong connection between Ivey alumni and the School.
The Opportunity:
Currently, the IAN is looking to fill 3 Board Member positions for a three-year term starting in fall 2025.
Our Board is comprised of dedicated and passionate graduates who take pride in supporting our global community of Ivey Alumni. As a member of this team, you will be an integral part of a group of alumni leaders committed to the ongoing growth and success of Ivey Business School through active involvement in Ivey’s alumni relations activities.
Given the current composition of the Board and the evolving needs of the organization, IAN is seeking skilled and dynamic leaders with an interest in being:
- Chair of Class Liaisons (new role)
- Regional Lead for EMEA
- Regional Lead for Americas
- Alumni Chapter leadership and volunteers in the following regions: London, ON, Southern California, Bay Area, Dallas, Austin
- Volunteers at large to support several Board initiatives
Eligibility for any role:
- Be a member of the Ivey Alumni Association (HBA, MBA, MSc, EMBA, AMBA)
- Showcase strong leadership capabilities
- Utilize your expertise and relationships to enhance engagement with our alumni community
- Cultivate relationships and build trust with a diverse group of alumni and stakeholders
- Communicate openly and respectfully, fostering an environment where others feel encouraged to do the same
Meeting Schedule and Requirements:
Board members:
- Actively participate in two in-person day-long Board meetings per year - November and April/May timing (held in Toronto)
- Participate in at least two Ivey Alumni events, including Global Ivey Day
- Contribute skills and resources to support the planning and execution of Alumni initiatives
- Chair of Class Liaison role would attend monthly Executive Committee meetings (via Zoom or in person), and chair their respective committee of volunteers
Alumni Chapter Leadership:
- Lead and contribute to alumni chapter activities in select city with 3-4 initiatives throughout the calendar year, including Welcome to the Network and Global Ivey Day activities. We are looking for both Chapter President roles and Chapter executive/volunteers that support the goals of the Chapter.
Alumni volunteers:
- We are regularly seeking additional alumni volunteers to actively support the activities and initiatives of specific alumni engagement activities driven by Board priorities
