At Ivey, we look for well-rounded leaders who bring unique perspectives to the classroom. Our holistic assessment framework and application process seek to understand all aspects of a candidate’s character, qualifications, and experiences.
Mandatory requirements for business graduates:
- Completed business undergraduate degree with the following coursework: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Operations, Strategy;
- Two to ten years of full-time work experience - This ensures that you and your classmates will have experiences that equally contribute to team and class discussions, along with the context and maturity to apply this learning in a professional setting; and,
- Demonstrated leadership potential - From career success and promotion, to volunteer work and community initiatives, or other interests like athletics or the arts – we are looking for candidates who have demonstrated strong leadership orientation in previous experience, and can bring that into the Ivey classroom.
Mandatory requirements for non-business graduates:
- Applicants must possess a four-year non-business degree;
- One to eight years of full-time work experience - This ensures that you and your classmates will have experiences that equally contribute to team and class discussions, along with the context and maturity to apply this learning in a professional setting; and,
- At least a 70% average across courses taken in the last two full-time years of the undergraduate degree. Equivalent qualifications may be considered based on substantial managerial experience gained within the applicants’ fields or professions.
