Tahira is expected to graduate from the Ivey HBA program in 2023. She has a keen interest in strategy, financial services, and technology, and has completed internships in the past exploring these areas. Upon completion of the Value Investing course, Tahira’s team was the recipient of the Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. award for the strongest valuation report. She is excited to apply her knowledge to the Ivey Value Fund and within her personal portfolio.

Kahlil Amlani

Kahlil is a graduate of the 2016 Ivey MBA Program. Prior to obtaining his MBA, he spent several years in management consulting with Deloitte based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. He has worked with a diverse set of clients and has direct experience with several different industries. Kahlil also holds a combined undergraduate degree in Business and Computer Science from the University of British Columbia.

Siddhesh Anand

Siddhesh is currently enrolled in his final year as a dual degree candidate in the HBA/BSc program at Western University. Siddhesh worked at KPMG Corporate Finance in their Mergers and Acquisitions team over the summer of 2016 and will be joining Scotia Waterous’s Investment Banking team in Calgary in 2017. Siddhesh has been actively involved in the Western community as a Residence Advisor and VP of the Ivey Analytics Club. Siddhesh utilizes the value investing principles to manage his own personal portfolio.

Nitisha Arora

Nitisha is a 2022 MBA graduate of the Ivey Business School and a Chartered Accountant. She is currently working as a Senior Consultant with Deloitte's M&A Consulting practice. Prior to her MBA, she was an Investment Management Associate at Goldman Sachs for 4+ years steering the US Renewable Energy business. She has also audited financial services clients as a Senior Associate at EY. Value Investing is consistent with Nitisha's personal investment philosophies because it places an emphasis on long-term planning, calls for considerable research to find undervalued investment opportunities, and is rewarding when such investments are profitable.

Joseph Arya

Joseph obtained his HBA from the Ivey Business School in 2017, where he was a member of the Dean's Honor List. Joseph spent his Ivey summer internship at Brookfield Asset Management working in the power and renewable energy group focusing on project finance and M&A. He will be joining Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets division full-time as an Investment Banking Analyst in Toronto. Beyond work, Joseph enjoys weightlifting and has recently developed a passion for backpacking.

Usman Aywas

Usman is a graduate of the Ivey MBA class of 2022. After graduating, Usman joined a Toronto-based boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory firm and now works for a SAAS aggregator as an Investment Associate in Tech M&A. Prior to Ivey, Usman worked in middle-market M&A in Saudi Arabia and before that he assumed various Audit related roles. Usman is a CPA and CFA Charter holder and has a deep passion of exploring the realms of Investments.

Jonathon Barbaro

Jonathon is a 2015 HBA graduate from the Ivey Business School and a CFA Charterholder. He has spent a majority of his career focusing on developing and implementing systematic factor based strategies for hedge funds by combining big data with fundamental analysis to create actionable investment insights. In his current role he works as a trader for a boutique Toronto based fund, focusing primarily on macro-economic analysis and execution.

Nikita Bisht

Nikita is a graduate of the Ivey HBA class of 2019. She was also the recipient of the F. W. P. Jones Prize, awarded to students with outstanding ability in finance by the faculty of Finance at Ivey. She is currently pursuing a career in investment management and has successfully completed CFA Level I in June 2019. Nikita’s initial spark for investing started with reading investing and personal finance books. With the completion of the Value investing course in 2019, she was awarded the Stacey Muirhead Award and currently, she continues to use her new found interest and potential to practice value investing and further her interests.

Brendon Bonnor

Brendon is currently a Senior Consultant at StrategyCorp - a political consulting firm - where he advises governments, government agencies, non-profits, and private sector clients on various policy and political strategy issues. From 2016 to 2019 Brendon worked in Deloitte’s strategy consulting practice, Monitor Deloitte. While at Monitor, Brendon led projects across 10 different industries including financial services, cannabis, public sector, innovation & technology, energy & resources, and regional development. Brendon has developed detailed expertise in executive-level strategy development, working with C-Suites and Board of Directors to develop and implement 3-5 year corporate strategy, innovation strategy, M&A strategy, and growth strategy to name a few. Between August of 2018 and April of 2019, Brendon was on secondment as a Policy Advisor to the Future of Canada Centre (FCC) – Deloitte’s thought leadership and public policy institute. While at the FCC, Brendon was responsible for designing and leading the FCC’s policy consulting initiatives. In this capacity, Brendon successfully led election policy development engagements with Federal and Provincial party policy directors, Members of Parliament, and Members of Provincial Parliament. Brendon was also tasked with developing the FCC’s internal 5-year strategy (which has since been implemented) and contributing to various policy thought leadership reports. Prior to joining Monitor Deloitte, Brendon did an internship in Investment Banking at Macquarie Capital, on their Infrastructure team.

David Booth

Prior to Ivey, David was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Toronto in their Audit & Assurance Group specializing in private equity and financial institutions. Post MBA, David is continuing to pursue his passion for investment analysis and professional services to a role in investment banking. David has had a long-term interest in value investing principles and enjoys performing deep analysis to develop unique and robust investment theses.

Janek Boski

Janek is a graduate of the HBA program. He is currently an investment analyst at Anson Funds, a long/short, value-based hedge fund, with offices in Toronto and Dallas. Janek previously worked in corporate M&A in the TMT sector as well as in investment banking. Janek remains a passionate value investor in both a professional and personal capacity, with George Athanassakos playing a key role in his interest and development.

Ton Bui

Ton is a graduate in Ivey MBA class of 2018. He received the Patient Capital Award for the highest grade in his Value Investing class and his team got the Robotti Award. He is now working as a Senior Analyst, Investment Analysis in Walmart Canada where he is working on capital management and developing business cases for investment projects with investment size between $50 - $700 million. He also started a telemedicine startup, Teledoc LLC, which is now on track of getting institutional VC funding. Before joining Ivey, Ton spent three years working as a Chemical Engineer, before moving on to private investments with typical deal size from a few millions to less than US$50 million.

Chris Cansick

Chris obtained his MBA with honors from Ivey, where he diligently studied the value investing philosophy. His team was the first to successfully convince the board, using the value investment principals, to acquire an equity based on their research. Chris continues to manage his own portfolio using the techniques taught by The Ben Graham Centre for Value Investing and is an active Ivey Fund Fellow.

Connor Challis

Connor is a graduate of the Ivey HBA 2017 class. He is currently working as an Analyst for UBS Investment Bank in Toronto, ON focusing on mergers & acquisitions and equity capital markets in diversified industries. Connor graduated as an Ivey Scholar from the HBA program, finishing in the top 10% of both HBA1 and HBA2 respectively.

Abhay Chawla

Abhay is a graduate of the Ivey 2019 MBA program. At Ivey, he was leading social impact and investment education initiatives as the Social Impact Senator and the Vice President of the Investment Club respectively. He has been closely following and investing in stock markets since his high-school days. He has several years of experience in management consulting across sectors such as Private Equity, Financial Services and Consumer Goods, and continues to work in the industry with Bain & Company. Outside of work, Abhay loves to travel and explore new places along with his friends or family.

Ty Collin

Ty is a graduate of the 2016 Ivey HBA class, and is working towards earning his CPA designation. He is currently a Corporate Finance analyst at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), where he monitors and reports on the investing activities of one of the world’s largest national pension funds. Previously, Ty has interned at Deloitte in Toronto. He believes that his background in accounting complements his passion for investing, and continues to apply this background in managing his personal investment portfolio. In his personal time, Ty enjoys long-distance cycling, playing the drums, and travelling.

Connor Crowley

Connor obtained his HBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University, where he was Captain of the Varsity Men’s Tennis Team that won back to back OUA titles in 2013 and 2014. Prior to Ivey, Connor spent two years studying at Bryant University in Providence, RI on a tennis scholarship. He is currently working as an Investment Banking Analyst for Barclays Real Estate Group in Los Angeles, CA that focuses on Lodging and Gaming. Beyond work, Connor enjoys playing sports and has recently developed a passion for surfing.

Max Dalsin

Max is a former Associate with National Bank Investments. In addition to the Ivey MBA, he holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary as well as the CIM designation. Max is also currently working toward the CFA designation.

 

Nour El Damatty

Nour holds an HBA from the Ivey Business School where she graduated on the Dean's Honor List in 2017. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the Ivey Business School. She completed the Value Investing Course in 2017 when her team was awarded the Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd award for the section's strongest valuation report. During her time at Ivey, Nour was a career peer mentor and teaching assistant. Nour is currently in the process of completing her CPA designation at Deloitte. After two years of working in Deloitte’s Audit Public practice, Nour transferred to the M&A Transaction Services practice as an Analyst. Apart from her involvement with the Ivey Value Fund, Nour also holds a volunteer advisor role in the Junior Achievement non-for-profit organization.

Chris Davidge

Chris is a graduate of the 2018 Ivey HBA class as well as Ivey’s Graduate Diploma in Accounting. He is pursuing his CPA at Deloitte in their external audit practice in Toronto providing advisory services to Brookfield and is also completing the CFA designation. Prior to Ivey, Chris was a competitive snowboarder and continued his passion of sport by playing on numerous sport teams. Chris strongly believes in the principles of value investing and continues to develop these skills through practice and collaboration.

Nicole Dee

Nicole is an HBA 2015 graduate of the Ivey Business School. She previously completed an investment banking internship at Goldman Sachs in New York in the Technology, Media & Telecom group. Subsequent to graduation, she is returning as a full-time analyst. At Ivey, she was Co-President of Ivey Finance Club and a Head Analyst of Western Investment Club.

Aryan Eftekhari

Aryan is a graduate of the 2019 Ivey HBA class with a certificate in Entrepreneurship. He is currently a fellow in Venture for Canada entrepreneurship program. He is passionate about start-ups that are delivering tangible value to their customers. He believes that entrepreneurship aligns with value investing principles and this background allows him to understand key activities of firms to uncover potential value. Outside of investments, Aryan has been involved in many extracurricular activities including as a regional competitor in The Hult Prize, a member of a basketball intramural team, and volunteering for a variety of community organizations.

Jared Emon

Jared is a graduate of the Ivey HBA class of 2019. Prior to transferring to Ivey, he majored in International Economics and Finance as well as studied abroad at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to completing the HBA program, he interned for two summers at RBC Wealth Management. He is now working at HSBC in Toronto as an Analyst within Global Banking and Markets and is currently working towards becoming a CFA charterholder.

Bolurin Falaye

Prior to Ivey, Bolu worked across the West Africa and London offices of the Audit and Assurance practice of PricewaterHouse Coopers and Deloitte, specializing in Private Equity. He currently works in the Finance Department of Hudson’s Bay Company where he is part of the Real Estate Finance team in Toronto.

Justin Firmino

Justin is a graduate of the Honors Business Administration program. Prior to attending the Ivey Business School, Justin completed two years at the University of Toronto studying Economics and Finance and spent one year working on the Risk Treasury desk with Citi Toronto. During his time as a Treasury Analyst in Toronto, Justin assisted in managing the bank’s liquidity, interest rate, and foreign exchange risk. Justin will be starting his career with Citigroup in New York City as a Sales and Trading Analyst.

Matthew Fong

Matthew holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School where he graduated with distinction. In 2016, he was awarded both the Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd award given annually for the best value investing valuation report and the Robotti & Company Advisors LLC prize, awarded to the group whose stock recommendation received the highest recognition by the Fund's Advisory Board and was consequently added to the Ivey Value Fund. Prior to completing the MBA program, he worked for Canada's largest academic hospital in Toronto as a program manger in digital health for large-scale information management and technology initiatives. During his MBA, he was the Co-President of the MBA Healthcare Club and member of the Ivey ice hockey intramural team.

Prabhjeev Gambhir
Prabhjeev graduated from the HBA program in 2017 and was a member of the Dean’s Honor List. Passionate about entrepreneurship from a very young age, Prabhjeev decided to start his own business after graduating. He is the co-founder of Homeshares, a real estate startup introducing home equity sharing in Canada. Prabhjeev is also a co-founder at Prolending Commercial, a commercial mortgage brokerage helping real estate entrepreneurs secure financing. With a deep appreciation for value investing principles, Prabhjeev strives to build and invest in companies that create true value.

Alex Gelmych

Andrew Ginn

Andrew was a member of Ivey's 2016 MBA class. Upon completion, he began working for Ernst &Young on their Asset and Wealth Management Advisory team as a Senior Consultant. Prior to enrolling in the MBA program Andrew worked at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) providing software solutions to an array of internal clients, specializing in investment management and finance. Previous to his experience at HOOPP, Andrew worked at the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan (OTPP), where he valued, settled and reported on credit derivative positions. Andrew received his CFA Charter in 2013, and a Bachelor of Business and Science from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Anqi (Angel) Gong

Anqi (Angel) Gong is an undergraduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) program at National University of Singapore (NUS). During her spring-term exchange at Richard Ivey School of Business, Anqi learnt and applied the principles taught by the Ben Graham Centre for Value Investing extensively. Since then, she has started applying them in her own portfolio management. Her prior working experience includes interning in the banking and securities industry. She is currently a regional Financial Planning & Reporting analyst in the consumer goods industry.

Ajay Gopal

Ajay Gopal is a 2013 graduate, with distinction, of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Ivey Business School at Western University located in London, Ontario, Canada. Currently, Ajay is a Senior Credit Analyst with East Coast Fund Management, a Toronto-based hedge fund. Prior to attending Ivey, Ajay was an Associate at Fundamental Advisors, a New York based private equity firm focused on distressed investments within the U.S. municipal bond market. It is at Fundamental where he was first introduced to value investing, investor activism and being a contrarian to the market. Prior to that, Ajay was a Structuring Analyst at Citigroup within its U.S. Municipal Structured Products group, also in New York. He is a proponent of the value investing philosophy and currently serves as an Ivey Value Fund Fellow. Ajay also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics, both from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is a Level I CFA Candidate.

Julia Gordon

Julia is a graduate of the 2020 Ivey MBA Program. Prior to attending Ivey, Julia worked at Toronto Hydro as a Human Resources Analyst, gaining experience in workforce planning, compensation and benefits. During her time at Ivey she was a Social Impact Senator, partnering with local non-profit organizations to coordinate and lead events that provided the MBA students with an opportunity to give back to the local community. Following Ivey, Julia will be joining Deloitte as a Consultant in their HR Transformation team.

Alana Green

Alana completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Queen's. After finishing her thesis, she moved to Germany to live, work and travel. Upon returning to Canada she worked for a few years as manager at a Spine Surgery Research Centre in Saint John, NB. However, she wanted to continue to expand her skills in a faster-paced environment and deliver greater impact - in came the Ivey MBA. Value Investing was her favourite course at Ivey and she is very excited to have been selected as an Ivey Value Fund fellow. Outside of the fund, she enjoys long walks with her dog and loves to ski, bike, read, and travel. She is also a Consultant at Bain & Company’s Toronto office.

Ryan Grube

Ryan is a graduate of the 2016 Ivey HBA program. He has held numerous roles at RBC including a Macroeconomic Research Analyst role at RBC Dominion Securities, a Junior Operations Analyst role at RBC Technology and Operations, and a Trade Support Analyst role at RBC Global Asset Management. Currently, Ryan is working as a Senior Treasury Analyst at CIBC where he specializes in unsecured treasury financing. He is working towards his CFA Level 1 in December 2016 and continues to implement the principles of value investing to his own personal investment portfolio. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys downhill skiing, music production and golf.

Mengyu Han

Mengyu is an undergraduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) program at the National University of Singapore(NUS). She came to Ivey School of Business for the 2013 Spring term as part of NUS student exchange program. Her prior experience includes interning at P&G as a research analyst. Currently, she is an associate at a private equity firm-Tembusu Partners. She continues to apply the principles learnt from Ben Graham Center for Value Investing regularly during her course of work. Her current portfolio covers a wide range of industries like petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and media.

Lauren Harris

Lauren is a graduate of the Ivey HBA class of 2020. Prior to starting Ivey, she majored in economics. Lauren has internship experience at Scotiabank in Sales & Trading and at Edward Jones. Following Ivey, she will be joining Scotiabank's Sales & Trading team.

Elisabeth Hass

Elisabeth is a graduate of Ivey's HBA ('12) and MBA ('19) programs. Prior to returning to Ivey, Elisabeth worked in Corporate Strategy at Ceridian, helping the business scale to successfully hit its ambitious growth targets. Today, Elisabeth is helping Canada Goose achieve its goal of conquering the world. Elisabeth is eager to continue to learn about Value Investing principles as a Fund Fellow.

Quinn Havart

Quinn is a graduate of the Ivey HBA 2017 class, where he was a member of the Dean’s Honour List. In 2017, he was awarded both the Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd award and the Robotti & Company Advisors LLC price, awarded to the group whose stock recommendation received the highest recognition by the Fund’s Advisory Board and was consequently added to the Ivey Value Fund. Prior to completing his HBA, Quinn graduated from the University of Guelph in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with distinction. Quinn spent his summer at Cumberland Private Wealth Management in Toronto, assisting the Portfolio Managers with prospective investments from a wide range of industries for the long-only portfolio.

Charles Hechema

Charles’ experience in banking includes roles in structured finance, lending, leveraged finance and M&A. Most recently, he held the title of associate in Scotiabank’s Private Equity Sponsor Group where he worked on leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations and other PE led transactions in both Canada and the US. Charles obtained his MBA from Ivey with honours, where he received top marks in its finance and value investing curricula, and served as President of the Finance Club helping to organize events and promote learning opportunities for fellow students. Charles holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from McGill University and has also completed levels one and two of the CFA accreditation.

Lisa Hui

Raheel Jariwalla

Raheel graduated from the Honors Business Administration program at Ivey Business School in 2015. He has worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Suisse and Standard Bank as well as a Private Equity Analyst in Toronto. After having the opportunity to visit Warren Buffet via Ivey he was inspired by the world of value investing and now holds a value investing view in his analysis of companies and business investments.

Derek Kang

Derek is a graduate of the Ivey HBA class of 2018. During his HBA program, Derek interned for a summer in Seoul, South Korea as an analyst for AskStory, a start-up tech venture. As an analyst for an international firm, Derek has developed his research for foreign markets and believes that his skills will provide key insights to finding and identifying value within global equities. Derek is currently a valuation analyst at Altus Group and hopes to apply value investing within the commercial real estate industry.

Davit Kantola

Davit is a firm follower of Value Investing principles. He is pursuing his master’s degree in Finance at Aalto University’s School of Business in Helsinki, Finland. He received the highest grades (5/5) from his bachelor’s thesis on “Value and Profitability Premium in the Finnish Stock Market” at Aalto University. Side by side his bachelor’s studies, he worked part time as a Service and Compensation Advisor at Local Tapiola Insurance Company. As an exchange student, he attended Professor George Athanassakos’ course on Value Investing, and was awarded The Stacey Muirhead Capital Management Ltd. Prize. On top of enjoying to educate himself by reading everything even slightly related to investing, Davit is a defenseman for Helsinki Chiefs Lacrosse and has represented Team Finland in both European and World Games of Lacrosse (2012 and 2010). During summer 2015, Davit worked as an analyst intern at Nordea Markets Corporate Finance Advisory in Helsinki.

Jack Kenny

Jack is a graduate of the Ivey HBA class of 2022. Upon graduating, Jack joined Ernst and Young (EY) as a consultant within the risk Consulting practice. Prior to working at EY, he completed an internship as PSP Investments with the Enterprise Risk team. While at Ivey, Jack was actively involved in extracurricular activities including publishing a case for the Introduction to Data Science course. Beyond his interest in Value Investing, Jack is an avid golfer and baseball fan.

Faiz Khan

Faiz is a graduate of the Ivey HBA class of 2016. He is currently pursuing his CPA, working as an Associate in the Assurance Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PWC). Faiz has had diverse work experiences working in Sales, IT and the Non-Profit industries, where he has developed skills beyond his passion and academic learning of Finance & Accounting. Faiz is actively involved in the London community through volunteering and strives to be a leader at Western by mentoring new students. Faiz is extremely passionate about investing with a specific interest for IPO’s and applies the strategic value investing principles for his own personal portfolio.

Rushil Khare

Rushil is a 2024 HBA graduate of the Ivey Business School. He has completed internships under various investment mandates, most recently using a long-only, value investing lends in Canadian Equities. His previous experiences include analyzing investments from a fund-of-funds perspective at a pension fund, and small businesses at a search fund.

Thomas Korpach

Mira Krunic

Mira is a 2017 graduate of the Master of Financial Economics (MFE) program at Western University. She spent her summer internship in the Funds Management and Banking Department at the Bank of Canada. Prior to joining the MFE graduate program, she was pursuing an Actuary and Financial Mathematics degree at McMaster University on a volleyball scholarship and playing on the Varsity Women’s Volleyball Team. She is now working at TD Bank on the Pension Investment Management team as a Senior Analyst. Mira is a CFA Level III Candidate.

David Kwok

Greg Lee

Greg is a graduate of the Ivey HBA 2019 class. Greg also completed BA (Honors) in Economics at Western University in 2019, receiving the Mark K. Inman essay prize and the highest core course average grade award. Greg has completed a two-year military service in South Korea in 2017, during which he completed and passed all USCPA exams. Siyuan (Derrick) Wong

Siyuan is an undergraduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) program at National University of Singapore (NUS). Siyuan works at the group investment and treasury department of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (iDA Singapore).
