IANT presents: Virtual Yoga & Meditation Event

Yoga & Meditation Poster 2020

This special event will will start with 45 minutes of a yoga session followed by 15 minutes of a meditation practice and then a discussion on wellness best practices.

Instructor: Christine Yan, HBA ’19 is a certified yoga instructor and has led meditation practices. 

The session will also be recorded for individuals who wish to participate but cannot because of prior time commitments. Details on how to access the link will be shared at a later date.

Who should participate? This event is ideal for individuals who are working professionals, working from home, and need to de-stress. November is typically a "dreary" time of the year and individuals won't have much opportunity to connect with their friends while socially distancing during the cold weather. By hosting a virtual mental wellness event, we hope this event will be an opportunity for individuals to virtually connect with their friends and Ivey alumni, engage in a fitness activity, and learn new ways to improve their mental health during this time.

Do I need previous Yoga experience? No previous experience is needed for this class! Christine will provide modifications for different poses in case people would like a beginner or an advanced approach. She will also cater this class to individuals to relieve stress and for people who sit at a desk all day.

After the meditation component of the event, we will also lead a discussion with attendees about best mental health practices to employ during this time and while working from home.
