One Year Progress Update
Message from the Dean
As I reflect on the first year of our Bold Ambition strategy, I am proud of the meaningful progress we have made and the strong foundation we are building for Ivey’s future. This has been a year of moving from ambition to action, with a particular focus on experimenting with and responding to the impact of AI on business education—while reinforcing the core strengths of Ivey’s experiential, case-based model.
At the same time, we have advanced important work across our strategic priorities, expanding access, strengthening student outcomes, and extending our global reach. While the below update highlights only a portion of that activity, it reflects the energy and progress building across the School as we strive to reimagine experiential business learning for the world.

April 2026 update
Transform Experiential Learning
We will be a world leader in leveraging digital innovation to make experiential learning more accessible and impactful for learners worldwide.
Steps we've taken:
- Launch of Ivey Online as a new digital learning platform;
- Integrating AI into programs and curriculum;
- Active experimentation with AI-enabled learning tools;
- Reimagining pedagogy for an AI-enabled future;
- Providing faculty, staff, and students with access to leading AI tools;
- Connecting real-world AI expertise to learning and research;
- Training faculty and staff to use and lead with AI; and,
- Improving learning technology and data systems.
Open More Pathways
We will expand access to transformative Ivey learning for motivated and capable learners regardless of background, life stage, or geography.
Steps we've taken:
- Expanding access to the MBA through new pathways;
- Doubling capacity with a new state-of-the-art Toronto campus;
- Expanding financial support and student programming;
- Redesigning student advising for impact;
- Launching signature programs for preparation and recalibration;
- Building student resilience and decision-making under pressure;
- Strengthening career support and outcomes;
- Improving accessibility of learning materials;
- Improving accessibility across physical spaces; and,
- Elevating accessibility and belonging through shared leadership.
Create Insights that Matter
We will prioritize research on the critical issues facing the world today and make it accessible to learners, business leaders, and policymakers around the world.
Steps we've taken:
- Strengthening faculty excellence through endowed chairs;
- Strengthening research capacity and the talent pipeline;
- Increasing funding for research and thought leadership;
- Increasing external recognition of research strength;
- Growing the reach and engagement of Ivey’s research;
- Delivering research insights through new and accessible formats;
- Building a more vibrant internal research community;
- Using research centres and institutes to extend Ivey’s reach and influence; and,
- Connecting research, learning, and real-world application.
Expand Global Impact
We will broaden Ivey’s global reach by sharing our research, teaching methods, and insights with learners and educators worldwide.
Steps we've taken:
- Launch of the Ivey Global Opportunities (IGO) Fund;
- Expanding the impact and reach of the 39 Country Initiative;
- Increasing international Executive Education programs; and,
- Growth and global leadership of Ivey Publishing.
