Ivey Scholarships and Awards are available to our HBA students during the course of the program, from admission to convocation. The recipient selection is extremely competitive due to the high calibre of students admitted to the Ivey HBA Program.

The award finder tool below provides an overview and brief description of each award and category available to our students.  Please note while we try our best to maintain the accuracy of this website, the information is subject to change. The HBA Admission Award application is within the "Apply for Awards" section in the HBA application and AEO2 Intent to Register. There is not a separate application for these awards.

End Of Year AwardsHBA '94 McCleary Memorial AwardAwarded to a full-time student of outstanding quality in Honors Business Administration at the Ivey Business School, at the end of their first year of HBA. The President of the HBA Student's Council will initiate the selection process for this peer award in the Spring. Candidates will be nominated by their classmates based on the following criteria: they are sociable, friendly, positive, hard-working people who are a pleasure to be around. They approach life with enthusiasm and energy and strive to excel in a well-rounded range of activities within and outside the Business School. Based on the recommendations from the HBA Student's Council, the HBA Scholarship Committee will select the final recipient for this award.$3000
Need and Merit AwardsHBA '98 Award - OSOTF II Awarded to a student entering HBA Year 1 based on academic achievement (minimum 78% admission average) and demonstrated financial need. This award will continue in HBA Year 2 provided that the candidate maintains a 70% average and demonstrates financial need. Recipients must meet Ontario residency requirements. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. Need and Merit AwardsHBA 1956 AwardAwarded to a student entering HBA 1 or HBA 2 (their last or second-last year), based on academic achievement (minimum 78% average) and demonstrated financial need. Must be an Ontario resident. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. This award was made possible by gifts from the HBA Class of 1956 through Foundation Western. $12500
Merit ScholarshipsHBA 1957 ScholarshipAwarded to a student entering HBA 1 or HBA 2 at the Ivey Business School based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. This award was made possible by gifts from the HBA Class of 1957 through Foundation Western.$3000
Need and Merit AwardsHBA 60 AwardAwarded to two students entering either of the undergraduate years of the Honors Business Administration Program, on the recommendation of the Director of the HBA Program based on a combination of financial need and proven ability. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. These endowed awards were established within Foundation Western by graduates of the Class of 1960 HBA. $1200
Need and Merit AwardsHBA 83 AwardAwarded to a student entering HBA Year 1, based on academic achievement (minimum 78% admission average) and demonstrated financial need. This award will continue in HBA Year 2 provided that the candidate maintains a 70% average and demonstrates financial need. Must be Ontario resident. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. Merit ScholarshipsHBA Ivey IPO AwardAwarded annually to a full-time student who has completed Year 1 of the Honours Business Administration Program based on academic excellence and leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in University or community activities. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. There is not an individual award application for this scholarship. This award is made possible by the generosity of the HBA Ivey IPO through Foundation Western.$1350
Merit ScholarshipsHBA ’87 Jeffrey Hawkins Memorial ScholarshipAwarded annually to full-time HBA students based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. Preference will be given to students who have graduated from a publicly-funded high school. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. This scholarship was established with Foundation Western in memory of Jeffrey Hawkins (HBA '87) by generous donations from the HBA Class of '87. 2 awards @ $5,400$5400
Merit ScholarshipsHill-Ivey HBA ScholarshipsAwarded to full-time students who have completed their first two years (60 credit hours) at the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina and meet the entry requirements of Western University and Ivey Business School. Applicants will be selected based upon demonstrated leadership potential and academic achievement (minimum 80% average). These students will be entering into the HBA program at the Ivey Business School. Final selection of recipients will be made jointly by the HBA Scholarship Review Committee and representatives from the Paul J. Hill School of Business. Recipients will be notified at the time of acceptance into the HBA program. The award will be continued in the second year of the HBA program upon successful completion of HBA1. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of Paul Hill (MBA'69). 1 @ $20,000 continuing$20000
Need and Merit AwardsHSBC International Business AwardAwarded annually to two (2), fourth or fifth year (HBA2 or Dual Degree), full-time HBA students per year for a total of six students over three years. These students are or will be spending one term studying abroad through the University's exchange program. Recipients of the award will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, leadership and financial need related to the additional costs that studying abroad incurs. The award recipients will be considered by the Donor as candidates for summer internships at HSBC Bank Canada and as candidates for management trainee programs at HSBC Bank Canada during or upon completion of their undergraduate degree. 2 awards @ $10,000$10000
Merit ScholarshipsIvey Alumni Association Calgary Chapter HBA ScholarshipAwarded annually to a student entering HBA 1 based on demonstrated leadership and community involvement. The successful candidate will exhibit evidence of character, energy and leadership potential. Preference will be given to candidates from Western Canada. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. This award is made possible through the proceeds of the Ivey Leadership Award Dinner and the Ivey Alumni Association, Calgary Chapter.$3500
Merit ScholarshipsIvey Alumni Association Toronto Chapter HBA ScholarshipThis award is available to students entering their first year of the HBA Program based on academic performance (minimum 80%) and community involvement. If the recipients maintain an 80% average, they will be eligible to receive this scholarship in HBA 2. If a student does not qualify to receive the scholarship, a new recipient will be selected. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award.This award is made possible through the proceeds of the Ivey Business Leader Award Dinner and the Ivey Alumni Association, Toronto Chapter, through Foundation Western. 1 @ $12,000 continuing$12000
Need and Merit AwardsIvey Foundation Continuing Awards in Business Administration OSOTFAwarded annually to students entering first year of the HBA program based on academic achievement, demonstrated community leadership and financial need. These awards were established through the generosity of the Ivey Foundation. This award is offered through the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund (OSOTF) program, and recipients must meet Ontario residency requirements. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. 2 @ $5,000 continuing$5000

EntrepreneurshipJ. Armand Bombardier HBA Scholarship in EntrepreneurshipAwarded annually to two students finishing HBA 1 based on academic achievement, demonstrated community leadership and a strong interest in entrepreneurship. Successful candidates will have been accepted into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship stream. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. There is not an individual award application for this scholarship. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in conjunction with the Director of Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipients. These scholarships were established by a generous gift from the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation. 2 awards @ $6,000$6000
Need and Merit AwardsJack Lambert HBA ScholarshipAwarded to a second-year HBA student with demonstrated financial need who is enrolled in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management 4464 and exhibits academic achievement.  The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the professor teaching Logistics Management 494a/b, will make the final selection of the recipient. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. This award was made possible by a gift from Douglas M. Lambert (HBA'69, MBA'71) through Foundation Western. $2500
Merit AwardsJackson Family HBA AwardAwarded annually to a full-time HBA 1 student at the Ivey Business School who has graduated from a publicly-funded high school, and who has studied and has a passion for pursuing a career in global studies - the political, economic, social and cultural relationships of the world. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA Community Service AwardAwarded annually to a full-time HBA 1 student at the Ivey Business School, who has graduated from a publicly-funded high school, and has been accepted through Ivey’s Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) based on academic achievement and exceptional volunteer community service. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA Entrepreneurship AwardAwarded annually to full-time HBA 1 students at the Ivey Business School who have graduated from a publicly-funded high school based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidates maintain a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipients. These awards were established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA International AwardAwarded annually to an international first year undergraduate student at Western who has been accepted into Ivey's AEO based on academic achievement and leadership skills. The recipient will receive this award upon entering HBA1. If, for any reason, the AEO recipient does not enter HBA1, at Ivey, will forfeit the award and another HBA1 student who meets the criteria will be selected. The award will be renewed for HBA2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The HBA scholarship committee will make the final section of the award recipient.
