Ivey Scholarships and Awards are available to our HBA students during the course of the program, from admission to convocation. The recipient selection is extremely competitive due to the high calibre of students admitted to the Ivey HBA Program.

The award finder tool below provides an overview and brief description of each award and category available to our students.  Please note while we try our best to maintain the accuracy of this website, the information is subject to change. The HBA Admission Award application is within the "Apply for Awards" section in the HBA application and AEO2 Intent to Register. There is not a separate application for these awards.

Merit ScholarshipsIGM Financial ScholarshipAwarded annually to a student who self-identifies as a woman who is a full-time student and has completed Year 1 of the HBA program at the Ivey Business School. The recipient will have an interest in the financial services industry, preferably in the asset or wealth management field, and will have received a minimum final grade of 78% in the HBA1 Finance course. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. At a Donor’s request, recipients will have the opportunity to interview for an employment placement with an IGM Financial company. This scholarship was established with generous gifts from the Donors. 5 awards at $5,000 each$5000
Merit ScholarshipsIvey Alumni Network Toronto Chapter HBA ScholarshipThis award is available to students entering their first year of the HBA Program based on academic performance (minimum 80%) and community involvement. If the recipients maintain an 80% average, they will be eligible to receive this scholarship in HBA 2. If a student does not qualify to receive the scholarship, a new recipient will be selected. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award.This award is made possible through the proceeds of the Ivey Business Leader Award Dinner and the Ivey Alumni Network, Toronto Chapter, through Foundation Western. 1 @ $12,000 continuing$12000
Financial Need and Merit AwardsIvey Foundation Continuing Awards in Business Administration OSOTFAwarded annually to students entering first year of the HBA program based on academic achievement, demonstrated community leadership and financial need. These awards were established through the generosity of the Ivey Foundation. This award is offered through the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund (OSOTF) program, and recipients must meet Ontario residency requirements. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. 2 @ $5,000 continuing$5000
Financial Need AwardsIvey HBA Award OSOTFThis award is offered through the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund (OSOTF) program, and recipients must meet Ontario residency requirements. 1 @ $3,200$3200
Financial Need and Merit AwardsIvey Foundation Awards for International Exchange Program (OSOTF)Awarded annually to upper-year, full-time undergraduate students who have applied for the fall and/or winter term and have been accepted to participate in any International Exchange Program including Herstmonceux Castle. Students must have an 80% minimum average and will be evaluated on their overall academic record, participation in extra-curricular activities, and financial need. A one-page essay must accompany the application form and must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar. Financial need will be determined by the Office of the Registrar and the HBA Scholarship Committee will select the recipients. Established by a generous donation from the Ivey Foundation through Foundation Western. OSOTF 2 @ $5,000$5000
EntrepreneurshipJ. Armand Bombardier HBA Scholarship in EntrepreneurshipAwarded annually to two students finishing HBA 1 based on academic achievement, demonstrated community leadership and a strong interest in entrepreneurship. Successful candidates will have been accepted into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship stream. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in conjunction with the Director of Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipients. These scholarships were established by a generous gift from the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation. 2 awards @ $6,000$6000
Financial Need and Merit AwardsJack Lambert HBA ScholarshipAwarded annually to a second-year student in the HBA Program at the Ivey Business School, who has demonstrated financial need, and who is enrolled in Corporations & Society: Developing More Sustainable Supply Chains 4625 or Operations Strategy 4454. The Office of the Registrar will determine financial need eligibility and the HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was made possible by a gift from Douglas M. Lambert (HBA'69, MBA'71).$3500
Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA AwardAwarded annually to a full-time HBA 1 student at the Ivey Business School who has graduated from a publicly-funded high school, and who has studied and has a passion for pursuing a career in global studies - the political, economic, social and cultural relationships of the world. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Jackson Family Foundation. 1 award @ $5,000 continuing$5000
Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA Community Service AwardAwarded annually to a full-time HBA 1 student at the Ivey Business School, who has graduated from a publicly-funded high school, and has been accepted through Ivey’s Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) based on academic achievement and exceptional volunteer community service. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA Entrepreneurship AwardAwarded annually to full-time HBA 1 students at the Ivey Business School who have graduated from a publicly-funded high school based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidates maintain a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipients. These awards were established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA International AwardAwarded annually to an international first year undergraduate student at Western who has been accepted into Ivey's AEO based on academic achievement and leadership skills. The recipient will receive this award upon entering HBA1. If, for any reason, the AEO recipient does not enter HBA1, at Ivey, will forfeit the award and another HBA1 student who meets the criteria will be selected. The award will be renewed for HBA2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The HBA scholarship committee will make the final section of the award recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Jackson Family Foundation. 1 award @ $5,000 continuing$5000
Ivey Leader ScholarshipJackson Family HBA Leaders ScholarshipAwarded annually to full-time students entering HBA 1 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. This award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidates maintain a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Financial Need and Merit AwardsJessie, Tom & Professor T. Ross Archibald AwardAwarded annually to a full-time student in the honors program with a minimum B average, who demonstrates financial need. This award was established by Professor T. Ross Archibald and an anonymous friend in honor of Professor Archibald's parents through Foundation Western.$1400
Financial Need and Merit AwardsJessie and Tom Archibald OSOTF Awards Awarded annually to full-time students in the honors program with a minimum B average, who demonstrate financial need. Must be Ontario resident. These awards were established by Professor T. End Of Year AwardsJJ Wettlaufer AwardAwarded at the end of HBA1 to a student, who self-identifies as a man, from within each section who, in the opinion of their peers, excels in activities both within and outside the Business School. These awards were established in honour of J.J. Wettlaufer, HBA '50, MBA '51 and former Dean, through Foundation Western. 10 awards @ $200$200
Financial Need and Merit AwardsJoan and Geno Francolini HBA Award OSOTFAwarded to a student entering first year of the HBA program based on financial need and minimum 'B' average. The award will be renewed for year two for students maintaining the defined criteria in HBA year one. Must be Ontario Resident. 1 @ $2,300 continuing$2300
Merit ScholarshipsJohn A K Francis HBA ScholarshipAwarded to a student entering HBA1 at Ivey who spent the first two years in any program at the University which offers a dual degree with Ivey. As the Donor believes in the value of public education, preference will be given to a student who has graduated from a high school that is publicly funded by the Board of Education in Canada. If more than one student meets the criteria, preference will be given to a student with a background in a family business. This scholarship is made possible by a donation from John A Francis, HBA ’86, with Foundation Western.$8000
Financial Need and Merit AwardsJohn F. Sloan AwardAwarded to a HBA2 student based on academic achievement (min. 80%) and demonstrated financial need.  Financial need will be determined by the Office of the Registrar. Selection of the recipient will be determined by the HBA Scholarship Committee in at the Ivey Business School. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. There is not an individual award application for this scholarship. This award was established through the generosity of John F. Sloan (HBA '56) through Foundation Western. $800
Merit ScholarshipsJohn R. Currie HBA1 Award in EntrepreneurshipAwarded annually to a student enrolled in HBA1 at Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from John R. Currie HBA '60.$5300

Currie HBA2 Award in EntrepreneurshipAwarded annually to a student enrolled in HBA2 at Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from John R. Currie HBA '60.$24500
