Ivey's Mission Statement
To develop business leaders who think globally, act strategically and contribute to the societies within which they operate.
Most business programs provide narrow specializations and begin this streaming very early. Ivey's HBA Program provides students with the leadership essentials every manager needs to know, and at the same time makes specialization available to those who want to pursue it after their first HBA year.
Ivey Business School produces more business cases for teaching and learning than any other school, except Harvard Business School, and is the world's foremost producer of Asian case studies. Top-tier Canadian and international business schools use Ivey cases to support discussions on business theory.
In September 2005, Ivey introduced a new model for business education that recognized and encompassed fundamental changes in the business world due to globalization and technological advances and their impact on the role of the "general manager". Ivey's Cross-Enterprise Leadership focus acknowledges these changes by structuring its programs' curriculum on enterprise-wide business issues and faculty research around four current Cross-Enterprise Leadership issues.
