Ivey Scholarships and Awards are available to our HBA students during the course of the program, from admission to convocation. The recipient selection is extremely competitive due to the high calibre of students admitted to the Ivey HBA Program.

The award finder tool below provides an overview and brief description of each award and category available to our students.  Please note while we try our best to maintain the accuracy of this website, the information is subject to change. The HBA Admission Award application is within the "Apply for Awards" section in the HBA application and AEO2 Intent to Register. There is not a separate application for these awards.

Ivey Leader ScholarshipJackson Family HBA Leaders ScholarshipAwarded annually to full-time students entering HBA 1 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. This award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidates maintain a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipients. These scholarships were established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Financial Need and Merit AwardsJessie and Tom Archibald AwardAwarded annually to a full-time student in the honors program with a minimum B average, who demonstrates financial need. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. This award was established by Professor T. Ross Archibald and an anonymous friend in honor of Professor Archibald's parents through Foundation Western.$1000
Financial Need and Merit AwardsJessie and Tom Archibald OSOTF Awards Awarded annually to full-time students in the honors program with a minimum B average, who demonstrate financial need. Must be Ontario resident. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. These awards were established by Professor T. Ross Archibald and an anonymous friend in honor of Professor Archibald's parents through Foundation Western. 2 awards @ $2,100$2100
End Of Year AwardsJJ Wettlaufer AwardAwarded at the end of HBA1 to the student from within each section who, in the opinion of his or her peers, excels in activities both within and outside the Business School. These awards were established in honour of J.J. Wettlaufer, HBA '50, MBA '51 and former Dean, through Foundation Western. 8 awards @ $200$200
Financial Need and Merit AwardsJoan and Geno Francolini HBA AwardAwarded to a student entering first year of the HBA program based on financial need and minimum 'B' average. The award will be renewed for year two for students maintaining the defined criteria in HBA year one. Must be Ontario Resident. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. 1 award @ $1,500 continuing$1900
Ivey Leader ScholarshipJoel Robinson HBA Leaders Scholarship Awarded annually to a full-time student entering HBA 1 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership, who has taken at least one Computer Science or Digital Communications or Media Information & Technoculture course and achieved a minimum 80% average. This scholarship will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the recipient maintains a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. This scholarship was established with a generous gift from Susan Vogt and Joel Robinson, HBA ’70. 1 award @ $12,000 continuing$12000
Merit ScholarshipsJohn A K Francis HBA ScholasrhipAwarded to a student entering HBA1 at Ivey who spent the first two years in any program at the University which offers a dual degree with Ivey. As the Donor believes in the value of public education, preference will be given to a student who has graduated from a high school that is publicly funded by the Board of Education in Canada. If more than one student meets the criteria, preference will be given to a student with a background in a family business. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. Financial Need and Merit AwardsJohn F. Sloan AwardAwarded to a HBA2 student based on academic achievement (min. 80%) and demonstrated financial need.  Financial need will be determined by the Office of the Registrar. Selection of the recipient will be determined by the HBA Scholarship Committee in at the Ivey Business School. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. There is not an individual award application for this scholarship. This award was established through the generosity of John F. Sloan (HBA '56) through Foundation Western. $600
Merit ScholarshipsJohn R. Currie HBA1 Award in EntrepreneurshipAwarded annually to a student enrolled in HBA1 at Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from John R. Currie HBA '60.$5300
EntrepreneurshipJohn R. Currie HBA2 Award in EntrepreneurshipAwarded annually to a student enrolled in HBA2 at Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from John R. Currie HBA '60.$20000
Financial Need and Merit AwardsJohn T. Nicholson AwardAwarded to a full-time student entering Year 1 of the Honors Business Administration program based on the individual's contribution to school, university life and demonstrated financial need. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. 1 @ $1,000 continuing$1000
Merit ScholarshipsJon and Nancy Love HBA AwardAwarded annually to a student of outstanding quality entering first year of the HBA program. As the donor believes in the value of public education, the successful student will have graduated from a high school from a publicly-funded Board of Education in Canada. Preference will be given to a student who has graduated from a high school in Alberta. The award will continue in Year 2 upon successful completion of Year 1. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. This award is made possible by a donation from Nancy Yeomans Love (HBA '76) and Jon Love (HBA '76) through Foundation Western. 1 @ $6,100 continuing$6100
Financial Need and Merit AwardsKeith R Halpenny HBA AwardAwarded annually to a student enrolled in the HBA Program with demonstrated financial need and who has graduated from a publicly funded high-school. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. 2 awards @ $2,000$2000
Merit ScholarshipsKenneth R. Good Family First Nations Student AwardAwarded to a student in HBA Year 1 who is a Registered Status Indian according to the Indian Act, based on academic performance (minimum 70% average). If a recipient from HBA Year 1 cannot be found, this award will be offered to a student in MBA who is a Registered Status Indian according to the Indian Act, based on academic achievement (minimum 78% average). As a third preference, the award will be open to students in HBA Year 2 as a continuing award, if a recipient was selected in the previous year. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. Merit ScholarshipsKPMG Award in BusinessAvailable to a student enrolled in undergraduate studies in the Honors Business Administration degree program with financial need and who demonstrates a career interest in accounting or management consulting. Students must show satisfactory progress in their previous year's work and may be asked to submit information confidentially about their personal finances to the selection committee. $900
Merit ScholarshipsKPMG Foundation Dean's HBA Entrance ScholarshipAwarded to a full-time student who is entering Year 1 of the HBA Program based on academic achievement (minimum 80% admission average). The scholarship will be renewed for HBA Year 2 if the recipient maintains the defined criteria in HBA Year 1. If a student does not meet this requirement, another Year 2 student will be selected as a replacement. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. 1 @ $2,300 continuing$2300
Merit ScholarshipsKPMG HBA2 AwardAwarded annually to full-time HBA 2 students at the Ivey Business School with a minimum 70% average who have indicated an interest in accounting. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipients. These awards were established with a generous gift from KPMG Foundation.$5000
Financial Need and Merit AwardsKranjc Family 125th Anniversary Alumni AwardAwarded to a full-time student in HBA Year 2 based on financial need who is also in the top half of his or her class. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. There is not an individual award application for this scholarship. This award was established by Mr. Stan R. Kranjc (HBA '86) through Foundation Western. $1000
Merit ScholarshipsLinamar Scholarship for Women in Engineering and BusinessAwarded annually to a female student entering HBA 1 with the intention of completing the dual degree program in Engineering and Ivey (BESC/HBA) based on academic achievement and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in engineering and business. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or eligible to work in Canada. This scholarship will continue for the second and third years of the dual degree program provided the recipient is accepted into the dual degree program in Engineering and Business. All recipients will have an opportunity to participate in a summer co-op with Linamar Corporation following years 3 and 4. An offer of full-time employment at Linamar Corporation may also be extended pending successful completion of the program and co-op terms. A recipient is not obligated to participate in the summer co-op or accept employment at Linamar Corporation following graduation to retain the scholarship. If a recipient fails to complete the summer co-op for any reason, the recipient will still retain the scholarship provided that the conditions of the scholarship are met. This scholarship was created through a generous gift from the Hasenfratz and Newton Families and Linamar Corporation to promote and encourage women to pursue the dual degree program in Engineering and Ivey (BESc/HBA).$11713
Financial Need and Merit AwardsLloyd Sipherd Continuing HBA AwardAwarded to a student entering the first year of the HBA program who demonstrates financial need and a minimum B average.
