The HBA Scholarship Review Committee will make the final selection of the recipients once the Office of the Registrar has assessed financial need. | Merit Scholarships | Kenneth R. Good Family Indigenous Student Award | Awarded annually to a self-identified Indigenous student (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) in HBA1 or HBA2 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic performance (minimum 70% average) and previous and/or intended contributions toward Indigenous communities. If no students can be identified, then the award will be offered to an Indigenous student (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) enrolled in the MBA program. If an Indigenous candidate cannot be identified in either program, then two awards will be available to Indigenous students in the following year. The HBA (or MBA) Scholarship Committee will work in consultation with Western's Office of Indigenous Initiatives to review Indigenous applicants. | Merit Scholarships | KPMG Equity, Diversity and Inclusion HBA2 Award | Awarded annually to full-time HBA2 students at the Ivey Business School with a minimum 70% average who exhibit enthusiasm, demonstrate behaviours, and act intentionally to foster a safe community that embraces equity, diversity, and inclusion. The recipient will be nominated by their peers and selected by the HBA Scholarship Committee, with input from Ivey Faculty and members of the HBA Association. | Merit Scholarships | KPMG Foundation Dean's HBA Entrance Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time student who is entering Year 1 of the HBA Program based on academic achievement (minimum 80% admission average). The scholarship will be renewed for HBA Year 2 if the recipient maintains the defined criteria in HBA Year 1. | Financial Need and Merit Awards | Kranjc Family 125th Anniversary Alumni Award | Awarded to a full-time student in HBA Year 2 based on financial need who is also in the top half of their class. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. This award was established by Mr. Stan R. Kranjc (HBA '86) through Foundation Western.

| Merit Scholarships | Linamar Scholarship for Women in Engineering and Business | Awarded annually to a student, who self-identifies as a women, entering HBA 1 with the intention of completing the dual degree program in Engineering and Ivey (BESC/HBA) based on academic achievement and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in engineering and business. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or eligible to work in Canada. This scholarship will continue for the second and third years of the dual degree program provided the recipient is accepted into the dual degree program in Engineering and Business. All recipients will have an opportunity to participate in a summer co-op with Linamar Corporation following years 3 and 4. An offer of full-time employment at Linamar Corporation may also be extended pending successful completion of the program and co-op terms. A recipient is not obligated to participate in the summer co-op or accept employment at Linamar Corporation following graduation to retain the scholarship. If a recipient fails to complete the summer co-op for any reason, the recipient will still retain the scholarship provided that the conditions of the scholarship are met.

| Merit Scholarships | Michael A. R. Wilson Family HBA Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student at Western who has been accepted into Ivey’s Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO), based on academic achievement (minimum 80% academic average) and demonstrated leadership skills. A strong preference will be given to a candidate from the Ottawa, Ontario area. If a recipient from the Ottawa area is not found, preference will be given to a student from Eastern Ontario. The recipient will receive this award upon entering HBA 1. If for some reason, the AEO recipient does not enter HBA 1 at Ivey they will forfeit the award, and another HBA 1 student who meets the criteria will be selected. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The selection of the recipient will be made by the HBA Scholarship Review Committee. | Merit Scholarships | Michael & Stefanie Block HBA Award | Awarded annually to one student in HBA1, as well as one student in HBA2 at Ivey, who have been consistent and valuable contributors to classroom discussions, and the learning and development of their peers. The recipients must have a minimum average of 80%. In March of each year the HBA Program Office at Ivey will solicit nominations from both faculty and classmates, and the recipients will be selected by the HBA Scholarship Committee. The HBA1 recipient will be announced and awarded at Ivey's Fall Welcome Back event, and the HBA2 recipient will be announced and awarded at convocation. | Merit Scholarships | Novacap Women in Finance Scholarship | Awarded annually to a self-identified woman who is a full-time student and has completed Year 1 of the HBA program at the Ivey Business School. The recipient will have an interest in the financial services industry, preferably in the asset or wealth management field, and will have received a minimum final grade of 78% in the HBA1 Finance course. An influencing factor in the selection of the recipients should be their varied work and/or extracurricular experience in the investment industry. To be considered, candidates must submit a short statement by October 31. Eligible applicants include Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and international students. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. At a Donor’s request, recipients will have the opportunity to interview for an employment placement with Novacap. This scholarship was established with a generous gift from the Donor.
