Merit Scholarships | Farida & R.K. Rahemtulla HBA Scholarship | Awarded annually to a first-year undergraduate student at Western who has been accepted into Ivey's Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO), and who graduated from a publicly-funded high school in Alberta. The recipient will be awarded $5,000 in AEO Year 1 and $10,000 in HBA 1. If, for any reason, the AEO recipient does not enter HBA 1 at Ivey, they will forfeit the $10,000, and another HBA 1 student who meets the award criteria, with preference given to qualified students who graduated from a publicly-funded high school in Alberta, and who is seeking to transfer to Western to attend HBA 1, will have the opportunity to apply for this award. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. Merit Scholarships | Jackson Family HBA International Award | Awarded annually to an international first year undergraduate student at Western who has been accepted into Ivey's AEO based on academic achievement and leadership skills. The recipient will receive this award upon entering HBA1. If, for any reason, the AEO recipient does not enter HBA1, at Ivey, will forfeit the award and another HBA1 student who meets the criteria will be selected. The award will be renewed for HBA2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The HBA scholarship committee will make the final section of the award recipient. Merit Scholarships | Michael A. R. Wilson Family HBA Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student at Western who has been accepted into Ivey’s Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO), based on academic achievement (minimum 80% academic average) and demonstrated leadership skills. A strong preference will be given to a candidate from the Ottawa, Ontario area. If a recipient from the Ottawa area is not found, preference will be given to a student from Eastern Ontario. The recipient will receive this award upon entering HBA 1. If for some reason, the AEO recipient does not enter HBA 1 at Ivey they will forfeit the award, and another HBA 1 student who meets the criteria will be selected. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The selection of the recipient will be made by the HBA Scholarship Review Committee. Merit Scholarships | Accenture HBA Award | Awarded annually to a full-time student entering HBA 1 at the Ivey Business School based on academic achievement and demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities such as professional, school, social or community organizations, sports or part-time employment. Preference will be given to an individual who has an interest in pursuing a career in consulting. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. Merit Scholarships | Atlantic Canada HBA Award | Awarded to a full-time student entering HBA1 at the Ivey Business School based on academic achievement and who has graduated from a high school in an Atlantic Province (Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island). The HBA Awards Committee will select the recipient. The award will be renewed in HBA2 provided that the recipient maintains a 70% average. This award was established with a generous gift from Kerry Bennett (HBA '96) and Matthew Bennett (HBA '96).

Merit Scholarships | Claude Lamoureux HBA Scholarships | Awarded to full-time HBA students at the Richard Ivey School of Business based on academic achievement (minimum 80% average) and demonstrated community leadership. Preference will be given to students who have graduated from a publicly-funded high school. Applications for these scholarships must be submitted to the HBA Programs Office by January 31. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipients. Merit Scholarships | Diane Bischof Memorial HBA Scholarship | Awarded annually to a full-time student entering the Honors Business Administration program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement and demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and aptitude for the development of a family business. Candidates may apply for this award at the time of applying for admission to the HBA program at Ivey. Final selection of the recipient will be made by the HBA Scholarship Review Committee. This scholarship was established through a generous estate gift from Diana Bischof (HBA ’81). After graduating from the Ivey School of Business in 1981, Diane worked with her father in the family business, Smico Inc. in Quebec. | $2500 |

Martin HBA '90 Scholarship | Awarded annually to a student entering HBA1 or HBA2 at the Ivey Business School based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award.This scholarship was established by a generous gift from the HBA Class of 1990 in memory and honour of their late professor Dr. Samuel A. Merit Scholarships | Elizabeth Sullivan Award in Business | Awarded annually to a full-time student entering HBA 1 with a minimum 70% average who graduated from a City of Windsor or Essex County public high school. The award will be renewed for year two for students who successfully completed HBA 1. If a student does not meet these requires, year two students will have an opportunity to apply for this award. In the inaugural year of the award, an HBA2 candidate will also be selected. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. Morse QuantumShift Fellow HBA Entrepreneurship Award | Awarded annually to a full-time student entering HBA1 at the Ivey Business School, who graduated from a publicly funded high school and is based on academic achievement, leadership skill and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from the QuantumShift Fellows to recognize the leadership and contributions of QuantumShift program founder Eric A. Morse. | $4500 |
Merit Scholarships | Erik Mikkelson HBA '06 Entrepreneurship Award | Awarded annually to a full-time student entering the HBA program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, interest in entrepreneurship, and engagement in a variety of activities outside the classroom, including, but not limited to, leadership on campus and in the community, athletic involvement and/or part-time work experience. Preference will be given to a student in the top 25% of the applicant pool, based on academic performance. The recipient will be selected by the HBA Scholarship Committee. Merit Scholarships | General Motors of Canada Company HBA Scholarship | Awarded to a student entering first year of the HBA program based on academic achievement. Preference for receiving this scholarship will be given to the following equity-deserving individuals who self-identify as a: woman, visible minority, persons with a disability, or as first generation students (the first members of their families to attend a university). The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship.
