Ivey Scholarships and Awards are available to our HBA students during the course of the program, from admission to convocation. The recipient selection is extremely competitive due to the high calibre of students admitted to the Ivey HBA Program.

The award finder tool below provides an overview and brief description of each award and category available to our students.  Please note while we try our best to maintain the accuracy of this website, the information is subject to change. The HBA Admission Award application is within the "Apply for Awards" section in the HBA application and AEO2 Intent to Register. There is not a separate application for these awards.

Merit ScholarshipsHBA '92 Karen Crich Memorial AwardAwarded to full-time undergraduate students entering HBA1 at the Ivey Business School based on academic achievement, and an interest in recreational athletics and/or entrepreneurial endeavours. The award will continue in HBA2 provided that recipients maintain full-time status in the HBA program and achieve a minimum 70% average. The Ivey HBA Scholarship Committee will select the recipients. If a recipient does not retain the award in HBA2, a replacement from the same cohort will be selected. This award was established by friends and family of Karen Crich. 1 @ $7,800 CT$7800
Merit ScholarshipsHBA 2000 AwardAwarded annually to a full-time student entering the Honors Business Administration program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. Final selection of the recipient will be made by the HBA Scholarship Review Committee. This award was established with a generous gift from the HBA Class of 2000.$700
Merit ScholarshipsHill-Ivey HBA ScholarshipsAwarded to full-time students who have completed their first two years (60 credit hours) at the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina and meet the entry requirements of Western University and Ivey Business School. Applicants will be selected based upon demonstrated leadership potential and academic achievement (minimum 80% average). These students will be entering into the HBA program at the Ivey Business School. Final selection of recipients will be made jointly by the HBA Scholarship Review Committee and representatives from the Paul J. Hill School of Business. Recipients will be notified at the time of acceptance into the HBA program. The award will be continued in the second year of the HBA program upon successful completion of HBA1. Merit ScholarshipsIvey Alumni Network Toronto Chapter HBA ScholarshipThis award is available to students entering their first year of the HBA program at the Richard Ivey School of Business based on academic performance (minimum 80%) and community involvement. Candidates should submit applications for this award at the time of application to the HBA Program at the Richard Ivey School of Business. Final selection of recipients will be made by the HBA Scholarship Review Committee. Recipients will be notified at the time of acceptance into the program. If the recipients maintain an 80% average, they will be eligible to receive this scholarship in HBA2. If a student does not qualify to receive the scholarship, a new recipient will be selected. This award is made possible through the proceeds of the Ivey Business Leader Award Dinner and the Ivey Alumni Network, Toronto Chapter. 1 @ $15,000 continuing$15000
Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA AwardAwarded annually to a full-time HBA 1 student at the Ivey Business School who has graduated from a publicly-funded high school, and who has studied and has a passion for pursuing a career in global studies - the political, economic, social and cultural relationships of the world. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Jackson Family Foundation. 1 award @ $5,000 continuing$5000
Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA Community Service AwardAwarded annually to a full-time HBA 1 student at the Ivey Business School, who has graduated from a publicly-funded high school, and has been accepted through Ivey’s Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) based on academic achievement and exceptional volunteer community service. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidate maintains a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Merit ScholarshipsJackson Family HBA Entrepreneurship AwardAwarded annually to full-time HBA 1 students at the Ivey Business School who have graduated from a publicly-funded high school based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. The award will be renewed for HBA 2 provided the candidates maintain a minimum 80% average. The award section within the AEOI/HBA application considers candidates for all Ivey HBA Admission scholarships. There is not a separate award application for this scholarship. Applicants who do not complete the award section of their HBA application will not be considered for an Ivey HBA admission award. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipients. These awards were established with a generous gift from the Donald K. Merit ScholarshipsJohn A. Francis HBA ScholarshipAwarded annually to a student entering HBA1 at the Ivey Business School who spent the first two years in any program at the University which offers a combined degree program with Ivey. Preference will be given to a student who has graduated from a high school that is publicly funded in Canada. If more than one student meets the criteria, preference will be given to a student with a background in a family business. The HBA Scholarship Committee of Ivey, including the Director of the HBA Program, will review and select the scholarship recipient. This scholarship is made possible by a donation from John A Francis, HBA '86. $8800
Merit ScholarshipsJohn R. Currie HBA1 Award in EntrepreneurshipAwarded annually to a student enrolled in HBA1 at Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and personification of the spirit, passion and drive necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from John R. Currie HBA '60.$5300
Merit ScholarshipsJon and Nancy Love HBA AwardAwarded annually to a student of outstanding quality entering first year of the HBA program. As the donor believes in the value of public education, the successful student will have graduated from a high school from a publicly-funded Board of Education in Canada. Preference will be given to a student who has graduated from a high school in Alberta. The award will continue in Year 2 upon successful completion of Year 1. This award is made possible by a donation from Nancy Yeomans Love (HBA '76) and Jon Love (HBA '76) through Foundation Western. 1 @ $7,300 continuing$7300
Merit ScholarshipsKenneth R. Good Family Indigenous Student AwardAwarded annually to a self-identified Indigenous student (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) in HBA1 or HBA2 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic performance (minimum 70% average) and previous and/or intended contributions toward Indigenous communities. If no students can be identified, then the award will be offered to an Indigenous student (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) enrolled in the MBA program. If an Indigenous candidate cannot be identified in either program, then two awards will be available to Indigenous students in the following year. The HBA (or MBA) Scholarship Committee will work in consultation with Western's Office of Indigenous Initiatives to review Indigenous applicants. Merit ScholarshipsKPMG Foundation Dean's HBA Entrance ScholarshipAwarded to a full-time student who is entering Year 1 of the HBA Program based on academic achievement (minimum 80% admission average). The scholarship will be renewed for HBA Year 2 if the recipient maintains the defined criteria in HBA Year 1. If a student does not meet this requirement, another Year 2 student will be selected as a replacement. 1 @ $3,200 continuing$3200
Merit ScholarshipsLinamar Scholarship for Women in Engineering and BusinessAwarded annually to a student, who self-identifies as a women, entering HBA 1 with the intention of completing the dual degree program in Engineering and Ivey (BESC/HBA) based on academic achievement and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in engineering and business. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or eligible to work in Canada. This scholarship will continue for the second and third years of the dual degree program provided the recipient is accepted into the dual degree program in Engineering and Business. All recipients will have an opportunity to participate in a summer co-op with Linamar Corporation following years 3 and 4. An offer of full-time employment at Linamar Corporation may also be extended pending successful completion of the program and co-op terms. A recipient is not obligated to participate in the summer co-op or accept employment at Linamar Corporation following graduation to retain the scholarship. If a recipient fails to complete the summer co-op for any reason, the recipient will still retain the scholarship provided that the conditions of the scholarship are met. This scholarship was created through a generous gift from the Hasenfratz and Newton Families and Linamar Corporation to promote and encourage women to pursue the dual degree program in Engineering and Ivey (BESc/HBA).$12600
Merit ScholarshipsMaija Nenonen Memorial AwardAwarded to full-time students entering HBA1 at the Ivey Business School based on a minimum 70% average, community leadership and originating from Northern Ontario. Preference will be given to a student that is interested in Operations and Data Analytics. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. Value: 1 at $5,000 $5000
Merit ScholarshipsProfessor Attilio and Maria Braga 125th Anniversary Alumni ScholarshipAwarded to a full-time student entering HBA Year 1 in their third year at Western, based on academic achievement (minimum 80% overall admission average). In addition, the recipient must be an Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) student and have obtained the highest average in 2.0 undergraduate Science credits at the 300 or 400 level at Western as compared to any other AEO student admitted to HBA Year 1. $1800
Merit ScholarshipsProfessor David G. Burgoyne HBA '90 ScholarshipAwarded annually to a student entering HBA1 or HBA2 based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. This scholarship was established by a generous gift from the HBA Class of 1990 in memory and honour of their late professor David G. Burgoyne, and in recognition of their 20th Class Reunion. $10000
Merit ScholarshipsRaymond L McFeetors Scholarship in Honors Business AdministrationAwarded to a full-time undergraduate student of outstanding quality entering the Honors Business Administration Program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement in their first two years of their program at Western (minimum criterion of 80% entry average). The scholarship will be tenable in first year of the HBA program, and renewable to second year based upon the maintenance of a minimum average of 80%. The recipient will be selected by the HBA Scholarship and Awards Committee at the Ivey Business School. This scholarship was established by Raymond L. McFeetors (President & CEO of Great-West Life and London Life) to commemorate his term on Western's Board of Governors. 1 awards @ $700 continuing$700
Merit ScholarshipsRogers Family Award in BusinessAvailable to a full-time undergraduate student entering the first year of study at the Ivey Business School following two years or more of study in any faculty at Western University based on academic achievement. Preference will be given to the student who has demonstrated the greatest increase in his or her annual academic average between the first year of university study and completion of the second year of university. Candidates must also demonstrate an aptitude for creative and innovative thought, exceptional achievement in extracurricular activities and commitment to active citizenship. Merit ScholarshipsScotiabank HBA 1 AwardAwarded annually to full-time students entering the Honours Business Administration program (HBA1) at the Ivey Business School. This award will be given to an applicant who self-identifies as Black. Preference will be given to students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry in Canada or Latin America. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. This award is made possible through the generosity of Scotiabank. 2 @ $15,000$15000
Merit ScholarshipsSellery Family HBA AwardAwarded annually to a full-time student in the Honors Business Administration Program at the Ivey Business School, who is a varsity student-athlete and graduated from a public high school. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established with a generous gift from Alan Sellery, HBA '87.$4000
