This session will dispel Canadian organizational myths and paradigms; preparing you for today's multicultural and multi-generational workplace. We are facing a career revolution where the options are boundless and constantly evolving. 

Niloufer Afzal will candidly share her story and her career journey, giving you an opportunity to 'look over the shoulder' into potential career avenues.

Niloufer Afzal Bio:

Nilo is a forward thinking leader with business transformation experience across NA, Europe and Asia building iconic brands. She has spent time in leadership and line management positions at Groupe SEB, Smucker’s, Philips Reckitt Benckiser, Tetra Pak, ACNielsen, and GSK.

In 2014, as Marketing Team Lead for J.M. Smucker Pet Foods, she drove the development of a 5-year business road map and the implementation of strategic imperatives, to transform the business into a predictable contributor of Sales and Operating Income.

Her superior EQ is reflected in the successful merger and integration at Philips. Here she mastered the art of balancing short and long term deliverables, while managing diverse relationships. 

Nilo has an MBA in Marketing & International Business and is a Certified Coach from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. Beyond the corporate sector, she is a High Performance & Personal Impact Coach and Speaker.

She believes in giving back to the community as a mentor to new immigrants, helping them become job ready for life in Canada. She is also on the Board of the York Region Children’s Aid Society.
