What is your personal definition of sustainability?

To me sustainability means maintaining a balance and living without disrupting the environment. It goes beyond just climate sustainability and means sustaining in each sense. As humans we have the power to shape our environment and must use our judgement to create a positive impact.

What role do you see sustainability playing in your professional career?

I care about creating impact in my career however it may be, and I would prefer to be part of an organisation whose vision aligns with my vision. I also want to play a role in integrating sustainability in daily business operations. Eventually I want to start my own business that is focused on sustainability and the circular economy.

What sustainability projects have you been engaged in?

I have been engaged in several sustainability projects, including volunteering with environmental organizations and participating in initiatives to reduce single-use plastics in my local community. I took part in a plastic collection drive to recycle them into eco bricks. During the pandemic I also launched a business, EcoDen, to increase accessibility to sustainable living products in India, creating a platform and connecting small to medium businesses that sold ecofriendly products with consumers.
