This module will highlight how the effective management of processes, which generally constitute the sequence of activities that transform inputs into outputs, is critical to the creation of organizational value. Participants will be exposed to a number of complexities - whether systems-based, people-based, or project-based - that complicate process design and delivery, and necessitate managerial trade-offs. We will then focus on critically evaluating the issues and challenges associated with these process complexities, and generating approaches and responses to manage them. Lastly, we will examine the improvement of complex processes and how process innovation is vital to the long-term survival of the organization.
