Meet Melissa Marcelissen

Ivey’s Coach, and Relationship Manager

Melissa Marcelissen (EMBA Class of 2020), a Certified Leadership & Executive Coach, leads Ivey’s Career Management Program as a Relationship and Career Coach. As sales and operations leader, human resources business partner (HRBP), and advisor to C-suite leaders for over 20 years, Melissa discovered the impact of empathy, trust, and inclusion on team performance. In 2021, they launched Vision Leadership to support corporate leaders through coaching and consulting and builds team engagement through workshops and speaking engagements. They are integral to the Ivey’s EMBA program, having supported hundreds of candidates to achieve their goals.

A Three-Term Journey to Elevate Your Career 

The EMBA program features comprehensive career support across three terms. From leadership assessments in Term 1 to career-focused seminars in Term 2, and personalized career strategies with a coach in Term 3, our program guides you toward career transformation.

In term one EMBA participants engage in a 360-degree leadership assessment which provides the groundwork for the rest of the EMBA journey. Each course within term one will touch on this reflection and provide opportunities to further self-reflect in the context of various topics.

During term two the program introduces career focused seminars and workshops to develop your leadership narrative, connect you with alumni, and provide tangible insights to propel your career to the next level.

Within term three you will engage your career coach to develop a 1:1 career strategy, establish a plan and leap into a potential change of firm, role, industry, or ownership.
