Discovery Expedition
Often referred to as a highlight of the EMBA experience, the Discovery Expedition brings participants to either Brazil or Vietnam in Term 3 to experience international business practices and operations first-hand. Brazil and Vietnam offer an introduction to emerging economies and invite students to explore risks and opportunities across various industries. The trip is centered around a capstone project where project teams engage with local businesses to establish a strategic business plan to grow globally. Participants will engage with leading global business professionals, hear from guest speakers, participate in site visits, and explore the local culture. IPADE Executive MBA International Week in Mexico City (Optional)
Ivey Executive MBA participants and alumni have the option to participate in the IPADE Executive MBA International Week in Mexico City each year. This trip brings together a group of executives and business leaders from Executive MBA programs across North and South America and Europe as they gather to share experiences and knowledge, enrich management practices, and discover new business models to help people lift themselves out of poverty and create wealth in a sustainable way. This is a great opportunity to develop a network of global contacts and to continue to learn about a topic that impacts all areas of business. The week includes cultural and social events as well as site visits to Mexican companies.
