It is our pleasure to announce that PhD candidate Andrew Sarta has been awarded a Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada! This prestigious award is given to high-calibre students who are engaged in doctoral programs in order to promote research excellence.
Andrew's fintech research has been a fantastic driver of the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab, and he often contributes his talents to Lab events. In 2019 Andrew took on the enormous task of organizing the Second Toronto Fintech Conference. The event was very successful and received paper submissions from researchers at some of the world's leading universities.
Andrew shows great dedication and integrity through his work with the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab at Ivey Business School, and he is most deserving of this award. Congratulations, Andrew!
