The inaugural Annual Toronto FinTech Conference is an annual event where scholars in the fields of strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, organization theory, finance, and economics can discuss their research on the rise, diffusion, and disruptive potential of financial technologies (“FinTech”).
This one-day conference will examine how banks are adapting to the evolving regulatory environment, rapid technological change, and digital disruption from financial technology (“FinTech”) start-ups. The invited speakers are leading professionals from Canada, the United States and Europe.
The Western Founders Network is partnering with the Ivey FinTech Club and Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab and IBM Canada’s National Innovation Team to deliver Western University’s largest financial technologies consulting case competition complete with free lunch and prize money.
Canada’s masterminds in FinTech will be invited to the event for a panel discussion facilitated by Ivey Business School Professor Michael King. This event will provide attendees with a great opportunity to network!
The Scotiabank International Case Competition is organized and managed entirely by Ivey students and the competition consistently attracts teams from all over the world. The 2017 competition will take place over four days, from March 1-4, 2017.
Our distinguished speaker for 2017 was Dino Trevisani, President of IBM Canada. Information on the 3rd annual Speakers Series in Digital Transformation Banking event, scheduled for spring 2018, will be announced shortly.
