Ivey's Centre for Building Sustainable Value provides practitioners, students and researchers with the knowledge, tools and capabilities to tackle some of the world’s most complex, challenging, and important problems – also known as “wicked problems.”
The Centre for Building Sustainable Value offers activities focused on teaching, outreach, and research.
The Centre is host to creative and dynamic thinkers and academic visitors, and offers educational experiences for students, including a Sustainability Certificate.
In addition, the Centre is home to a Research Seminar series, the annual PhD Academy, the Sustainability Capital Award, and a variety of other opportunities for engaging with sustainability-focused speakers, actors, and thinkers.
The BSV Centre is also the founder of the Network for Business Sustainability, a dynamic and diverse network of academics and executives. NBS seeks to connect research with practice.
For the Ivey Business School to be recognized as a global leader in sustainability research, teaching, and outreach, and through its activities, to be a force for positive change and an active participant in the goal to mitigate some of the world’s most complex sustainability issues.
