Feb 21, 2017

The MBA Social Impact Club hosted two salon dinners with discussions on business challenges centered around sustainability and leadership. Dinners were a way to get students outside of the classroom and connecting with real-world business issues.

Salons provided great conversation with inspirational people. Attendees heard both the academic and business perspective on common issues, and had the chance to share their own insights and experiences. Each dinner was limited to 15 students to provide an intimate setting, and all students reviewed materials in advance of the dinner, to prepare them for a meaningful discussion.

  • 1st salon dinner on Sustainability and Social Development: October 18, 2016. Facilatators were Tima bansal (professor) and Lina Bowden (impact investor)

  • 2nd salon dinner on Leading Change from Within: February 21, 2017. Facilitators were Mary Crossan (professor) and Amy Gibbons (Director, Great-West Life)

These events were generously supported by the RBC Foundation.
