Why did you decide to do an MBA?

I decided to pursue an MBA to accelerate my career growth and build a stronger foundation in problem solving, leadership, and decision making. Through my previous experiences, I realized I enjoy working on complex challenges and wanted to deepen my business fundamentals while broadening my perspective across industries and functions.

Ivey stood out to me for its case based learning and collaborative community, both of which have already challenged me to think more critically and communicate more effectively. I am excited to continue building on this experience!

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

The most significant thing I’ve learned at Ivey is how to make decisions with incomplete information and stand behind them with confidence. The case method pushes you to quickly structure ambiguous problems, take a clear position, and communicate it effectively, even when there isn’t a single right answer.

It has also taught me the importance of listening to diverse perspectives and adapting my thinking in real time, which has strengthened both my problem solving and collaboration skills.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

The most surprising aspect has been how intense but fun the experience is at the same time. You go from long case discussions and group work to spontaneous coffee chats, team dinners, and last minute plans with classmates, and somehow it all just blends together.

I didn’t expect how quickly everyone would become close or how much the people around you shape the experience. It’s a busy environment, but it’s also one where you’re constantly laughing, learning, and making really memorable moments along the way.

Ivey in one word or a few words: Please share what your Ivey experience is to you!

Transformative, fast paced, and genuinely fun!
