Why did you decide to do an MBA?
After several years working in audit across Nigeria and the UK, I realized I wanted to move beyond compliance and into roles that shape strategic and financial decisions. I wanted an MBA program that would broaden my perspective beyond accounting while building the leadership, communication, and analytical skills needed to drive business growth and impact. Ivey’s immersive case-based learning and strong leadership focus have been exactly that — an environment that challenges you to think differently, lead with purpose, and build meaningful global connections.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
The most significant thing I’ve learned at Ivey is that leadership isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about asking the right questions, listening deeply, and empowering others to think critically. The case method has taught me how to navigate ambiguity, make decisions with imperfect information, and trust the process of learning through dialogue.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
I was surprised by how collaborative the program truly is. Coming in, I expected intense competition — but what I found instead was a community that genuinely supports one another’s growth. Whether in class discussions, team projects, or recruiting, the culture of generosity and shared success has been a defining part of my experience.
