Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I chose to pursue an MBA because I felt I had reached a point in my career where I was comfortable but not truly growing. I was strong in HR and operations, but I noticed a gap in areas such as data analytics, financial decision-making, and tackling complex business problems. I wanted to challenge myself with something that would require me to think more strategically and prepare me for a different career path, whether that involved consulting or a leadership program. Ivey stood out to me because of the case method - I had friends who went through the HBA program, and I could see how much it shaped the way they thought and approached problems. I knew I wanted that same experience. On top of that, the community at Ivey felt close-knit and supportive, with lots of chances to take on leadership roles, and that was important to me because I wanted to grow not just as a professional, but also as someone who can bring people together and make an impact.
