Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I chose to do an MBA, specifically at Ivey because of its strong global reputation and top-tier rankings, which reflect its commitment to developing well rounded, strategic leaders. I believe strongly in continuous education and always knew that I didn’t want to stop at my undergraduate degree. Furthermore, Ivey’s case-based learning environment offers the opportunity to constantly challenge my thinking and expand my perspective alongside my peers. I was also motivated by a pivot in my career from working in Treasury Operations into a role that’s more focused on Corporate Strategy in which an MBA at Ivey provides the ideal platform to build the analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills needed to make that transition successfully.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
The most significant thing I’ve learned from Ivey is how to think strategically and make decisions with confidence in situations that don’t have clear answers. However, Ivey has challenged me to step back and consider the bigger picture balancing risk, opportunity, and long-term impact. Through the case-based method and constant collaboration, I’ve become more comfortable voicing my perspective, adapting quickly, and learning from diverse viewpoints.
