Pre-MBA employment industry:
Consulting
Why did you decide to do an MBA?
After working extensively in consulting, I found myself increasingly drawn to broader strategic questions—how organizations scale, operate across markets, and drive transformation in complex, global environments. While my experience gave me strong execution and client-facing exposure, I realized that to transition into global consulting roles, I needed a more structured and holistic understanding of business—across strategy, operations, and decision-making. Pursuing an MBA was a natural next step to build that perspective, deepen my problem-solving approach, and prepare myself to work on more complex, cross-border business challenges. For me, the MBA is not just about advancing my career—it’s about evolving into a global leader who can work across cultures, connect strategy with execution, and drive meaningful impact for organizations at scale.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
The most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA has been how much you learn from your peers. Coming from different industries, geographies, and experiences, every discussion brings a new perspective that you may not have considered. It’s not just about the cases—it’s the diversity of thought in the room that challenges your assumptions and makes the learning far more dynamic than expected.
