Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I decided to do an MBA because I wanted to take my leadership skills to the next level and be a strong, well-rounded part of the Canadian workforce. I’ve always loved working with people from different backgrounds and building a sense of community wherever I go, and the MBA felt like the right space to grow that. I’m someone who enjoys stepping into new and challenging situations; it’s how I become more resilient and find new ways to learn, adapt, and lead. What drew me most to the MBA was the mix of people, perspectives, and experiences it brings together. That kind of environment really excites me.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
The biggest thing I’ve learned at Ivey is how important it is to show up as a true professional - not just in how you speak, but in how you listen, lead, and carry yourself under pressure. I’ve learned how to lead through uncertainty, how to communicate with empathy, and how to stay grounded even when things feel chaotic. It’s also taught me the value of being coachable by staying humble, but still knowing when to step up and take the lead. More than anything, it’s shown me that leadership is about working together, always!
