Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I decided to pursue an MBA to build on my experience in government and transition into a role where I can solve complex problems across different industries. In my previous roles, I worked on high-impact national initiatives, but I wanted to deepen my business fundamentals and develop a more structured approach to problem-solving.
The MBA at Ivey stood out because of its case-based learning and collaborative environment, which I saw as the best way to sharpen my decision-making and learn from diverse perspectives.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
One of the most significant things I’ve learned at Ivey is how to balance conviction with flexibility. The case method pushes you to take a clear position, but at the same time, you’re constantly challenged by your peers’ perspectives.
That experience has helped me become more comfortable speaking up, while also refining my ability to listen, adapt, and strengthen my thinking in real time.
