Why did you decide to do an MBA?

After three and a half years working in the entertainment industry, I made the decision to pursue an MBA to take my career to the next level. I had always been interested in the degree because of the skills, perspective, and network it offers. But it was through my hands-on experience in production that I realized I wasn’t making the level of impact I aspired to. I wanted to be more than a contributor—I wanted to lead. I chose the Ivey MBA specifically for its case-based learning model, which mirrors real business challenges and prepares students to make strategic decisions under pressure. I’m confident that the program will equip me with the tools, mindset, and leadership ability needed to drive meaningful change in my industry.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
The most significant thing I’ve learned at Ivey is how to approach each case and problem with a holistic, big-picture perspective. I’ve come to understand that effective decision-making often involves navigating ambiguity, weighing multiple viewpoints, and considering both short- and long-term impacts.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

The most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey has been the depth of connection I’ve built with my classmates. I expected to learn from the curriculum, but I didn’t anticipate how much I would grow from hearing their diverse perspectives and experiences. The shared challenges and collaboration have created a strong sense of community that’s been both enriching and inspiring.

Ivey in a few words: Please share what your Ivey experience is to you!

It’s been an intense and transformative journey. I’m constantly being challenged—academically, professionally, and personally—and that pressure has pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t expect. Whether it's through cases, networking, or getting involved in clubs and committees, I’m stepping outside my comfort zone every day, and I’m loving the growth that’s come with it.
