Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I decided to do an MBA because, in many ways, it has always been part of my story. One of my favourite family photos is of my mother graduating with her MBA while holding me as a baby, and that image stayed with me as a symbol of resilience, ambition, and possibility. Over time, that inspiration grew into a desire to build my own leadership capacity and broaden the impact I could make through my career.
My background in financial services, development finance, consulting, and digital transformation showed me how much I enjoy solving business problems, leading change, and helping organizations grow. After moving to Canada and working on transformation projects for small and medium-sized businesses, I knew I wanted an MBA to sharpen my strategic thinking, strengthen my leadership, and prepare me for larger opportunities ahead. Ivey stood out as the right place to do that.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
What has surprised me most is how much growth happens outside the technical material. The pace is intense, and the environment constantly pushes you to adapt, collaborate, and reflect. I expected to build business knowledge, but I have also gained a much deeper understanding of my strengths, my opportunities, and the kind of leader I want to become.

A stretching and transformative season of growth.
