Why did you decide to do an MBA?
Throughout my time working in consulting, this meant working with different businesses and industries, and I felt I could have benefited from having more of a foundation in business. That’s when I realized I wanted an MBA to be my next step, and I started doing research on the top schools in Canada, and Western immediately stuck out to me. What compelled me to it was the case-based learning approach, which meant being in real-world business scenarios, where I could develop my decision-making skills, problem-solving abilities, and work in a team.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
The importance of time management, especially in team meetings, because this translates into ensuring everyone has an equal say in our discussions. Encouraging active participation from everyone will allow for more well-thought-out ideas to be generated, creating a solution that considers all team members’ points of view.
