Why did you decide to do an MBA?

After several years of experience across manufacturing and banking, I found myself increasingly drawn to questions that went beyond execution: how businesses make strategic choices, scale effectively, and navigate uncertainty. While my roles allowed me to contribute to growth and client outcomes, I wanted to develop a sharper perspective on decision-making across industries and functions.

Pursuing an MBA at Ivey felt like the natural next step. The intense case-based learning environment, combined with a diverse cohort, offers the opportunity to learn not just from faculty but from the lived experiences of peers. For me, the MBA is not just about building technical skills, but about sharpening judgment, expanding my perspective, and preparing to take on more complex, high-impact roles.

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

Working in a truly diverse team of 6 representing 5 nationalities pushes you out of your comfort zone as you have to adapt to different working styles and cultures.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

I had been outside classroom for more than 7 years, and was a bit skeptical of how it will feel to be back inside one. Despite having long sessions, I find it surprising how the professors are able to keep the students so engaged that the session gets over before you even realize.
