Why did you decide to do an MBA?
My passion for doing an MBA at Ivey Business School stems from a lifelong passion and commitment to mental growth. With an engineering background, I acquired top-level analytical skills, which I employed for seven years in high-energy start-ups. There, I immersed myself in the science of building and growing companies, learning experiential lessons that fuel my entrepreneurial aspirations. But I also sought a more structured learning environment to further my education and prepare for challenging roles that involve detailed problem-solving.
The MBA is a foundational move towards understanding the interconnected functions of an organisation, from strategy to operations. This integrated approach is fundamental to addressing complex issues and, in the end, realising my vision of launching a venture. Ivey's fast-paced, case-based learning is perfectly designed for my goal to integrate intellectual depth with practical leadership, empowering me to catalyse meaningful influence in the business world.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
The most surprising aspect of my Ivey MBA journey has been the dynamic, multi-layered learning process that continually deepens my understanding of complex topics. Through individual study, learning team discussions, class debates, and faculty insights, each stage challenges me to think critically and refine my perspective. I was particularly struck by how much I gained from my peers’ diverse viewpoints, even when I believed I had fully grasped a case, revealing the power of collaborative learning to uncover nuanced insights and drive intellectual growth.
