Why did you decide to do an MBA?

Ivey stood out as Canada's top business school with an influential global network, but what sealed the decision was its intensive, one-year, 100% case- and team-based methodology. This fast-paced format closely mirrors real business environments, demanding daily collaboration with diverse peers to solve complex global problems under pressure. Leadership development is woven directly into the curriculum, sharpening decision-making, emotional intelligence, and people management skills alongside the core coursework. Ivey's Career Management team rounds out the experience through coaching students to recruiting readiness while actively connecting them to high-impact opportunities across industries. It was this combination of immersive learning and career enablement that made Ivey the clear choice.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

My most memorable and surprising experience has been the cumulative growth from Ivey's 24-hour reports and 100% team-based projects across multiple learning teams and courses. Early on, navigating cultural and professional differences within fast-moving teams brought real friction: misaligned priorities, different working styles, and moments of genuine frustration. But each report became an exercise in listening harder and understanding the perspective behind someone else's approach, not just the approach itself. Over time, that friction became a strength, and many of those teammates are now close friends well beyond the classroom. It is exactly what makes Ivey's model so powerful: growth you cannot create in a traditional classroom. It has taught me to navigate conflict, adapt to unfamiliar environments, and build relationships built to last.
