Why did you decide to do an MBA?
Having spent most of my career in Sales and Marketing, I had a clear view of the path ahead, and I realized it wasn’t aligned with my long-term aspirations. I’ve always been ambitious and audacious, drawn to bold ideas and new opportunities. One of those is a deep interest in the world of Alternative Investments, particularly Business Acquisitions, Scaling and Exiting, Private Equity, and Real Estate Investing. To pivot effectively and build the skills required to thrive in these areas, I knew I needed to upskill, acquire a new skill set, and develop strategic thinking capability. That realization marked the beginning of my MBA journey.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
Thus far, the most significant thing I’ve learned at Ivey is how to learn through case studies. Coming from an academic background that emphasized theory and practicals, the Ivey case method has immensely reshaped the way I approach problem-solving. Learning how to dissect, analyze, and apply real-world business cases has been a very significant part of my journey. It has refined my critical thinking and decision-making capacities in ways I didn’t anticipate.
