Why did you decide to do an MBA?
My career felt like it was stagnating: I wasn't learning anything new on the job - I was always the mentor and never the mentee - so I was looking for change. I'd always had in the back of my mind that I was interested in doing an MBA. Then I found out about Ivey's case based methodology, and then I knew I had to do an MBA at Ivey. I didn't apply anywhere else. It was Ivey or nothing for me. This was the place I could grow as a leader, learn everything I felt I was missing "out in the real world" and a place I could be pushed and challenged. And an added bonus was the amazing network of Ivey alumni!
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
That if you are really enjoying yourself (and the time you spend with the people around you), you can achieve so much more than you thought you could otherwise!
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
How much I can achieve, read and process in a single day now! I'm getting pushed in ways that I'm not used to and I can very actively see the growth and improvement of myself and those around me. It's amazing to see and experience!
